Today I visited Bomseol, a well-known hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) restaurant near Dongtan!

Bomseol is located in Oesammi-dong, close to Dongtan, Osan and Byeongjeom, and not far from the main road, so it's easy to find. The place turned out to be much bigger than I expected!
How many cars fit in the Bomseol parking lot?
Right in front of the restaurant is a large lot with room for 100+ vehicles, including tour buses, so you never have to worry about parking! Just self-register your parking after your meal.
Banquet hall and private rooms: booking a baby's 100th-day party
Walking into Bomseol, the whole space felt clean and pleasant ✨ There were plenty of tables so it never felt cramped, and the seats were spaced generously, making it comfortable to chat.
The 2nd floor has a dedicated group banquet hall, great for group bookings, private events or dol (first birthday) parties. The 3rd floor is made up of private rooms, perfect for small gatherings or family meals. I loved that you can choose the space that fits your group size and occasion 👍🏻 I'm actually planning to hold my baby's 100th-day party at Bomseol next month haha.
On nice days there are also outdoor tables you can use.

The unlimited yeolmu barley bibimbap self-serve corner
Before the main set arrives, you get to make your own barley bibimbap! The unlimited yeolmu (young radish greens) barley bibimbap bar was such a nice touch 🥹
Mixing in the crunchy radish salad and fresh namul (seasoned vegetables) really woke up my appetite. You can go back for more anytime, so it's a generous, filling start.
What comes with the 18,000-won Bomseol table set
From the basic side dishes to the table-bending Bomseol set — hotpot rice, salad, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), fried items and more — plus jeyuk bokkeum and braised kodari as the mains, this spread had it all ❤️
Everything was plated neatly, and it was fun tasting a bit of everything — more than enough for a hearty meal.
The jeyuk bokkeum had a nicely balanced spicy-sweet sauce that soaked in well — perfect wrapped in lettuce! The fried eggplant was crispy outside and soft inside, light and never greasy.
Each side dish had that handmade touch — not too strong in flavor, more like tidy home cooking, so I kept reaching for more! Overall nothing was over-seasoned, which paired nicely with the mains ٩(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
The cheonggukjang was savory with real depth — eat it with rice and you'll clear the whole bowl.
Best dish of the day: braised kodari
I usually don't love kodari, but this was on a totally different level!! The seasoning was so good it had zero fishiness, just pure savory richness.
The flesh came off the bone easily and was easy to eat — my husband and I both agreed it was the top dish of the day ო'ᴗ'ო
No meal is complete without finishing with the hotpot rice — pour in hot water and enjoy the crispy nurungji (scorched rice) at the end!
Takeout and how the meal ends
Dried yellow croaker, soy sauce crab, yeolmu kimchi and more are all available for takeout, and they even do gift packaging, so it'd make a lovely gift for parents or friends!
After the meal, coffee, sujeonggwa (cinnamon-persimmon punch) and roasted corn tea were all set out for dessert, wrapping things up nicely.
We left this Dongtan-area favorite stuffed full of a clean, satisfying Korean set meal. Every dish, from the mains to the side dishes, was made with real care, and I enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend Bomseol as an Osan hanjeongsik spot!
