Osan Korean set meal with a baby: high chair and microwave, Bomseol

In short

Bomseol Main Branch is a hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) restaurant on Oesammi-ro in Osan, Gyeonggi, known around Dongtan and Osan as a venue for meeting-the-parents lunches and group gatherings. On a weekday lunch visit with a baby, Bomseol Main Branch provided a high chair and a microwave at the counter for warming baby food, and the Bomseol Set for two arrived with spicy stir-fried pork, braised pollock, fried eggplant, cheonggukjang (rich fermented soybean stew) and stone pot rice. A neat full Korean spread in the 10,000-won range makes Bomseol Main Branch an easy pick for eating out with a baby or treating guests to a meal.

Hanjeongsik table setting at Bomseol Main Branch

I was craving a Korean lunch in Dongtan, so I went to Bomseol Main Branch. I'd wanted to visit for a while, and since I had errands in Dongtan, I brought my baby along for a meal out!! There was a baby chair and a microwave at the counter, so it was easy to feed the baby food too — a great Dongtan hanjeongsik spot, Bomseol.

Where is Bomseol Main Branch? Hours and parking in Osan

Bomseol Main Branch is located at 162-34 Oesammi-ro, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it's open from 10:30 to 21:00. Weekdays have a break time from 15:00 to 17:00.

  • The parking lot is spacious and convenient!! Room for many cars, with 2-hour parking registration

There's a large bakery café right next door, so it's good as a meeting spot or a family dining place. There are also rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, which makes Bomseol Main Branch well-known as a meeting-the-parents venue around Dongtan and Osan.

Wide parking lot and exterior of Bomseol Main Branch

With a lot large enough for 100+ cars or tour buses, it's easy to bring a big group here, so I'd recommend it as a work-dinner spot too — an Osan hanjeongsik restaurant, Bomseol! With its private banquet hall and rooms, it seems like a good option for anyone in the Dongtan area looking for a venue for an event or a meal.

Entrance atmosphere at Bomseol Main Branch

The atmosphere was nice too, and even on a weekday lunch there were quite a lot of guests. The staff were so kind that I felt comfortable the whole meal! The food came out quickly too — a place that's easy to visit with a baby.

First, second or third floor: where to sit at Bomseol Main Branch

The 1st floor of Bomseol Main Branch is for general customers, with an unlimited yeolmu barley bibimbap (radish greens and barley mixed rice) corner. The 2nd floor is a private banquet hall for groups, used for first-birthday parties, venue rentals, and group reservations!

The 3rd floor has individual rooms for smaller reservations. I'd guess the 3rd floor rooms are the way to go for meeting-the-parents lunches or other important gatherings. They said reservations for 50+ people are also possible, so anyone looking for a group dining spot could just ask the restaurant directly haha.

True to its reputation as a Dongtan lunch spot, there was a display of dried yellow croaker holiday gift sets. If you're after something upscale for a holiday gift, this might be worth checking out!

Bomseol's side dishes were genuinely delicious, and there was also a spot near the entrance selling the side dishes separately.

The 1st floor had lots of tables, so it felt spacious, and each table had a tablet for ordering and payment, which was convenient!! When I asked for a recommendation, the staff kindly walked me through the menu.

I heard the basic Deulbap Set comes with braised pollock as a complimentary side, so I considered ordering that, but since the Bomseol Set also includes stir-fried pork, I ordered the Bomseol Set for two! Another plus — you can also order it for just one person!!

You can order and pay directly through the tablet, and there's also a new menu item, mountain-high scallion bulgogi, which seemed to be popular with regulars~~ Since it was my first visit, I went with the signature dish, the Bomseol Set~~

Unlimited side dish corner at the 1st floor self-serve bar

The self-serve bar on the 1st floor had unlimited side dishes, and most of them were so good that I kept thinking about them afterward!!

What comes with the Bomseol Set for two?

After browsing the self-serve bar, the Bomseol Set was ready in no time. Even as a set for two, the portion was pretty generous. A good Dongtan hanjeongsik spot for days when you're craving a tidy, proper Korean set meal.

The eggplant fritters were soft and genuinely delicious! The japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) came in a generous portion too, and the salad, stir-fried pork, and braised pollock were all well-seasoned and tasty. Great for mixing into the rice!!

It was surprising that you can enjoy such a tidy, delicious hanjeongsik spread for around ₩10,000s. If you ever need to treat someone to a meal, bringing them here seems like a good idea. This place is open during holidays too, so if you want a family meal this Chuseok, I'd recommend booking a reservation and visiting~

Full spread of side dishes and main dishes from the Bomseol Set

I liked that the Bomseol Set comes with stone pot rice. Scooping out the rice and making sungnyung (scorched rice tea) to finish the meal is just perfect!!

The side dishes were a varied lineup too — the lotus root and stuffed chili pepper pickles were especially good~ The yeolmu kimchi (radish greens kimchi) had a mild, tasty flavor and was great mixed into rice!

Plump braised pollock

The braised pollock was extra tasty since the fish was nice and plump. I used to eat this dish every day when I had bad morning sickness, but this was truly the first time in a long while since giving birth!! Visiting with my baby made it feel even more meaningful at Bomseol.

Cheonggukjang boiling on a table burner

The complimentary cheonggukjang was savory too, with a deep flavor coming through in the broth. Each table has its own gas burner so you can boil it up hot. You could feel the care and consideration for guests at this Dongtan hanjeongsik restaurant.

If you're near Dongtan or Osan wondering what to eat for a tidy Korean meal, I highly recommend Bomseol!!!
