Osan late-night chicken pub: half-and-half chicken and fries, Beer

Cooler weather plus the smell of chicken drifting down the street... that combo... I just couldn't resist. I ran straight out for chimaek. Here's my excited chimaek story.

Where is Beer Ground Unam Branch, and where do you park?

Beer Ground Unam Branch sits on the Unam Korean food street in Osan, close to Osan City Hall. Parking is free for 1 hour at the public lot right next door.

Being on the Unam food street makes it really accessible. There's also a discount for takeout, so I actually saw a lot of people picking up orders to go!

Did you know the food street is basically a parking war...? Having free parking support like this was such a relief.

A late-night Osan chicken pub with baseball on the TVs

One reason Beer Ground Unam Branch is well known is its sports broadcasts. There are a whopping 4 TVs, so you can watch team-by-team baseball games while eating chimaek.

Just like this!!! Isn't this exactly the point of a sports pub. There's a reason baseball fans from Osan and Dongtan come here. Once baseball season starts, I'm definitely stopping by with a friend.

Even though it was close to midnight when I visited, there were still a lot of customers. There was even more seating beyond what's in the photo, but it was too crowded to get a shot. T.T This place has clearly earned its reputation as a well-known Osan Unam restaurant already. The owner and staff were also kind, which made the meal even more pleasant.

Half soy, half spicy handmade chicken with a plate of fries

At Beer Ground Unam Branch I ordered the soy/spicy half-and-half chicken. Apparently every side dish at Beer Ground is made in-house by hand.

A table filled to the brim with chicken. I went with the half-and-half — soy and spicy. And it's handmade chicken, which counts for a lot!

This visual is just violent. You all need to smell the fried chicken aroma for yourselves. I only eat boneless, and wow... it was so tender and delicious. It just melts in your mouth. The combination of soy and spicy sauce was really good, seriously delicious.

And the fries I have to recommend without hesitation. I'm not exaggerating — this was the best fries of my life... Really, really, really crispy and delicious, and you know how fries usually get tiring after a while? Nope. Not at all. I finished the whole plate of fries myself. You all have to order these too.

Open floor-to-ceiling windows and the room at Beer Ground

Beer Ground Unam Branch can open all of its floor-to-ceiling windows. It felt so refreshing and really brought out that proper chimaek mood.

What I personally loved was that the whole shop can open up with those floor-to-ceiling windows. It never felt stuffy at all, which I really liked.

Chimaek while watching sports at ease after work or on the weekend. That's happiness right there. Looking around the shop while eating, I saw customers of all different ages — friend groups, coworkers, couples, families. All kinds of people gathered, laughing and chatting over chimaek, and it was such a nice sight.

While filming this, I was grinning ear to ear myself. Just ridiculously happy.

Menu, prices and the 5,900-won draft beer event

As a launch celebration, Beer Ground Unam Branch is offering Kirin, Asahi, and Asahi Black draft beer for ₩5,900. Apparently all the side dishes besides chicken are handmade too.

With so many good-value menu items, this place is a strong recommendation for group gatherings or work dinners. There's plenty here to satisfy everyone's taste.
