Samsong restaurant for haejangguk with Hallasan soju: Jeju Eunhui-ne

In short

Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a Jeju-style haejangguk (hangover soup) restaurant on the first floor of E-Pyeonhansesang City Samsong in Samsong, Goyang, Gyeonggi. The writer and her husband came for dinner and ordered two bowls of haejangguk, a small plate of dombe pork and a bottle of Hallasan soju, asking for the soup without beef blood. Each bowl of haejangguk at Jeju Eunhui-ne came so packed with meat, glass noodles and cabbage that it filled them up without a single extra bowl of rice.

What kind of restaurant is Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk in Samsong, Goyang?

Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is my favorite go-to restaurant in the neighborhood. I stopped by again today. This place is always packed with locals — it's genuinely popular. The menu is simple: haejangguk (hangover soup), naejangtang (tripe soup), and dombe pork. It's a Goyang Starfield-area favorite where seats fill up every single time. Great for curing a hangover the morning after drinks, or honestly just as a place to grab a drink in the first place.

Set menus that pair soup with dombe pork

I love that Jeju Eunhui-ne has set menus too, since you can get soup and meat together.

  • Set 1: Haejangguk + dombe pork
  • Set 2: Naejangtang + dombe pork
  • Set 3: Galchi jorim + haejangguk or naejangtang + dombe pork
  • Set 4: Dombe pork + seasoned tripe salad

Dombe pork and seasoned tripe salad sound like they'd go really well together. The dombe pork has zero gaminess and is so good it reminded me of the pork I had in Jeju.

Side dishes at Jeju Eunhui-ne: radish kimchi, chili peppers and lettuce

The basic side dishes at Jeju Eunhui-ne pair perfectly with the haejangguk: radish kimchi, chili peppers, and lettuce. Taking a bite of chili pepper while eating the soup cuts through the richness and makes each bite even better. It's the kind of clean, simple side dish I love. There aren't a huge variety of banchan, but it's exactly the right amount for a bowl of haejangguk.

Plate of boiled dombe pork

Dombe pork, small 13,000 won: boiled pork with no gamey smell

The dombe pork is tender and has absolutely no gaminess. It's the perfect extra dish to pair with the haejangguk — instant anju (drinking snack). It's clean, delicious boiled pork with no off flavors at all, and the perfect thing to add on when you're eating haejangguk.

A couple's dinner: two haejangguk, dombe pork and Hallasan soju

Whenever my husband and I come here, we always order two haejangguk and one dombe pork — it's the perfect amount, haha. Plus a bottle of Hallasan soju, haha. It's a great go-to for dinner whenever we swing by in the evening. Even my parents love it here — they order it every time they visit.

Haejangguk ordered without beef blood: how full is the bowl?

The haejangguk arrived. I ordered mine without the beef blood, which is normally included by default. Every time I come to Jeju Eunhui-ne I order the haejangguk, and it's genuinely loaded with ingredients and hearty. You could skip the rice entirely and still be full just from the soup, haha.

Meat, glass noodles, and cabbage all packed into the bowl — it's completely full. The broth is so clean and refreshing that a whole bowl disappears fast. My parents have eaten here, loved it, and now they even take it to go and ask to eat it again next time. It suits their taste perfectly too, and the broth is so clean and delicious that this is a place I make sure to visit now and then. No wonder it's a favorite around Goyang Starfield.
