Dasan Station BBQ restaurant for after-work beer: Eungbongjip
In short
Eungbongjip Dasan Station Branch is a frozen samgyeopsal (pork belly) restaurant serving 1+ grade Korean pork, a 3-minute walk from Dasan Station in Namyangju, Gyeonggi. Two people visiting after work ordered the set for three at 37,000 won and Eungbong cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) at 10,000 won; the pork had no gamey smell and came with a range of dips including egg yolk and curry sauce. With its open-front layout, Eungbongjip feels like an outdoor beer garden and suits a relaxed night of grilled pork and beer.

Where is Eungbongjip near Dasan Station, and is there parking?
Eungbongjip is a Korean pork frozen samgyeopsal spot just a 3-minute walk from Dasan Station. It's located at 22-56 Dasanjungang-ro 123beon-gil, 1st floor units 106-107, Jungwon Duplex, Namyangju, Gyeonggi, and it's open Mon-Thu 16:00-01:00, Fri-Sun 16:00-02:00. You can also use the building's basement parking — they support parking!! It's known as a nutty, delicious samgyeopsal spot, so the accessibility was great too.

Eungbongjip is known for Korean pork frozen samgyeopsal, and besides regular frozen pork belly/kkotmokssal (pork collar), they also sell specialty cuts. The side dishes are pretty varied too, so it's great to pair them with the meat.

The 37,000 won set for three, shared by two after work
Eungbongjip's frozen samgyeopsal/kkotmokssal is 1+ grade Korean pork at ₩13,000 per serving, but the set for three comes to ₩37,000, which ends up cheaper than ordering three single servings. We visited as two people and ordered the set for three plus the Eungbong cheonggukjang.
The weather's been nice and cool lately, perfect season for eating meat. After work that day, having samgyeopsal and a beer at Eungbongjip really felt like it washed away the day's fatigue! The restaurant wasn't cold either — it had that cool, open-style layout, almost like an outdoor pocha (street tent bar). It felt open and pleasant. We sat down and ordered right away!
- Set for three ₩37,000
- Eungbong cheonggukjang ₩10,000

Steamed egg and five dips at Eungbongjip: egg yolk and curry stand out
After ordering, out came the sauces, side dishes, and steamed egg! The steamed egg was soft and fluffy and nutty, a nice way to settle the stomach before really digging in. One of the great things about Eungbongjip is being able to dip the 1+ Korean pork into so many different sauces. Ssamjang, wasabi, salt, egg sauce, curry sauce, and more were all laid out, so you could enjoy the meat however suited your taste.
That egg sauce in particular was so nutty and delicious. Dipping the already nutty samgyeopsal into the nutty egg yolk doubled the savory flavor! And that was my first time dipping meat in curry sauce — surprisingly, it worked really well. I kept reaching for it..!

1+ Korean pork samgyeopsal: any gamey smell?
Ta-da~ the 1+ Korean pork samgyeopsal for three arrived. The meat looked great from its bright reddish-pink color alone, right? And in reality, the quality was good — nutty with no gamey smell at all.

Grilling the meat neatly now. Frozen samgyeopsal can sometimes get a smell if it's not good quality, but here there was none of that — it was genuinely nutty, soft, and delicious.

Eungbongjip's open-front atmosphere and highball menu
Oh, and the interior was bright, modern, and clean. The staff were kind too. We didn't order this time, but I noticed they also sell highballs. Wine highball, Yantai highball, Jim Beam highball — all of which would go well with the meat!

Shredded green onion and vegetables came out too, so wrapping the meat with them was great. The samgyeopsal sizzled away deliciously! The texture was soft and nutty, totally my type.

Sizzle sizzle~ but honestly, the meat quality here is really solid! 1+ Korean pork samgyeopsal! I have to admit it!

And they also gave us minari (water celery)! Grilling minari in the meat fat is such a treat. This Dasan samgyeopsal spot, Eungbongjip, was great not just for the meat but for the variety of side dishes and sauces too.
Eungbong cheonggukjang for 10,000 won: portion size and taste
The extra cheonggukjang we ordered was ten thousand won and came out super generous. Cheonggukjang can be a bit of an acquired taste, so it was nice to have it again after a while. It wasn't super pungent, so it's the kind of flavor that shouldn't divide opinions too much. I liked that it was mild and didn't smell too strong! Mixed with a bowl of rice, it went down easily.
Savory and really tasty, so I'd recommend it!
