Low & Sweet Bakery catches your eye right from the entrance — the sunlight pours in so beautifully it gives the place an exotic feel.

There are also tables outside, so you can pick your spot freely depending on your mood or the weather. It's perfect for enjoying coffee on the outdoor terrace in a cool breeze, and just as good for settling into a cozy seat inside for some relaxed time. ☕

Overall the interior is simple yet unique and full of atmosphere. The café is really pretty! The understated props paired with warm wood tones give it a charming, homey feel.

Pastries baked each morning and batch brew coffee from 8am

From pain au chocolat to all kinds of cookies, financiers, and madeleines! Both the variety and the flavors are extensive. 😋 They're baked so beautifully that you can practically feel the crisp-outside-moist-inside texture just by looking, so I spent a LOT of time deciding what to pick, haha.

But the biggest strength of Low & Sweet is that you can enjoy freshly baked goods every single morning (egg tarts, financiers, canelés, pound cakes, cookies, pastries, and more) along with batch brew coffee made from their own roasted Choti blend and mulatu blend — starting from 8am!

The lineup of beans set out on one side of the shop shows just how seriously they take self-roasting — you could really feel the dedication and expertise behind the coffee. From heavy, nutty flavors to bright, aromatic notes, there's a proper batch brew for every taste, which is bound to excite any coffee geek. For our sweet break, we ordered a dark chocolate chip cookie, an egg tart, and a lemon madeleine. ✨

There's a wide range of drinks too, from coffee to non-coffee options to kids' drinks.

How do the dark chocolate chip cookie, egg tart, and lemon madeleine taste?

After much deliberation, I chose the dark chocolate chip cookie, the egg tart, and the lemon madeleine. First, the thick dark chocolate chip cookie was packed inside with a really dense, fudgy chunk of chocolate! I'm a self-proclaimed chocolate lover, and the moment I bit in it was truly fantastic. White chocolate chunks scattered throughout added even more, filling every bite with a deep, sweet flavor the more you chewed.

Next I tried the signature egg tart, freshly baked every morning. 💓 One bite in and it was perfectly crisp outside, tender inside! Sometimes egg tarts end up soggy on the outside, but Low & Sweet Bakery's was nothing like that. The crisp dough texture stayed fully intact while the egg filling inside was truly moist. The combination of the smoothly melting egg custard and the crisp pastry was simply the best. 😙

The flaky pastry dough was packed full of moist, soft egg custard cream! It melted the moment it hit my mouth, releasing a soft texture and nutty buttery aroma that had me sighing in delight. Paired with the deep, rich house-roasted coffee, it was a perfect match. 😙

Last, I tried the refreshingly bright lemon madeleine. ✨ Splitting it open revealed lemon custard tucked inside! The outside was coated in a sweet sugar glaze that added extra sweetness. The madeleine had zero sogginess too. It was thoroughly moist, and best of all, the lemon flavor wasn't artificial at all. A bright, thoughtful natural citrus scent burst out and blended with the rich buttery flavor.
