Fluffy Bake Shop (Gongdeok) is a small bake shop near Gongdeok Station worth stopping by if you're after good pastries. From madeleines, financiers, and canelés to salt bread and egg tarts, there were more varieties than I expected, and picking through them was genuinely fun!

Since they open at 8am, I'd recommend visiting a bit early if you want a good selection of pastries. Apparently a lot of menu items sell out after 3-4pm, so keep that in mind. 😋

Fluffy Bake Shop is a small bake shop located near Gongdeok Station! Its white-toned, clean exterior has a full glass front, so you can see straight into the shop from outside.

What caught my eye most was Fluffy's signature logo, a shell-shaped madeleine design.

The exterior is small but clean and uncluttered, so it naturally catches your eye as you walk by. And something that actually matters a lot when looking for a bake shop in Gongdeok — parking! With 1 hour free, it's convenient to visit by car too.

02 Inside Fluffy Bake Shop: compact, tidy, one bar table for 5

Inside Fluffy Bake Shop, there's a bar-style seating area on one side. It looked like it could seat about 5 people, but overall the space is on the small side, so it felt more suited to a quick solo coffee or a visit with one other person rather than a long hangout with a group.

Going a bit further in, you'll find a variety of pastries displayed on the left.

03 What butter does Fluffy Bake Shop use? Lescure AOP butter

What especially stood out at Fluffy Bake Shop's display counter was the note about their butter. They state that they only use 'Lescure Charentes-Poitou AOP butter.'

Since butter flavor matters so much in pastries, it was impressive to see this kind of ingredient information proudly displayed in the shop. It gave me the feeling 'oh, they're using good ingredients' — which made me trust the taste a bit more.

I visited around 11am and luckily was able to pick out all the pastries I wanted that day. This time, rather than following the best menu, I just picked what looked and sounded good to me. :)
