Seoul coffee shop with drip bags and a roasting machine: Central Site

I visited Central Site Hapjeong, located near Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station. It's a local roastery café and hand-drip specialist where you can find specialty coffee along with a wide range of beans and brewed coffee from around the world. With so many types of beans, you can choose according to your taste, and you can even smell the beans yourself before deciding. Here's my story of enjoying coffee and dessert there.

What kind of coffee shop is Central Site Hapjeong?

Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery and brewing café close to Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station. True to its roastery-and-brewing-café identity, one side of the shop was lined with a variety of beans and drip bags.

Central Site Hapjeong: address and how to get there

It's open every day, so I felt it's a good spot to swing by whenever you're craving coffee.

There were also seats set up outside the store. When the weather's nice, sitting outside for a relaxed cup of coffee seemed like a great idea.

The interior isn't huge, but it had a variety of seating types — 4-person tables, couple seats, and solo seats. It seemed like a good place to sit alone and enjoy coffee or read a book, or to chat with friends or company.

On one side of Central Site Hapjeong, there was also a large roasting machine. Its size made it stand out.

There were beans from Panama, Ethiopia, Colombia, and more, which made even the process of picking a coffee interesting.

With so many bean varieties, it was hard to decide which to choose. You could press a pump yourself to sniff each one and check its aroma and characteristics before deciding.

Drip bags for sale at Central Site Hapjeong

The store also sells drip bags. So beyond just drinking coffee at the café, if you find a bean you like, you can buy it as a drip bag and easily enjoy it at home too.

They also sell tiramisu, which goes well with coffee.

What we ordered and what it cost

On one side of the store, lemon water was set out. It was refreshing and great as a palate cleanser.

The coffee came with a card describing the beans used, so you could check what you were drinking as you sipped.

Specialty brewed coffee: Colombia Geisha and Guatemala washed

The iced coffee had a whole ice ball in it, which made it look clean and pretty. The flavor and character differed depending on the bean, so it was fun alternating between the two coffees to compare the differences.

Classic tiramisu, 8,500 won

The classic tiramisu I ordered alongside paired well with the coffee. The chocolate flavor was on the strong side, and the sweet, soft texture made it easy to enjoy together.

Is Central Site Hapjeong worth a visit?

Central Site Hapjeong was a Hapjeong café where I could sample a variety of beans and pick out coffee suited to my taste. With a large roasting machine set up inside, it had the atmosphere of a proper roastery café.

With beans and drip bags from Panama, Ethiopia, Colombia, and more, browsing the selection was fun in itself. After choosing coffee to my taste, checking the bean description alongside it let me focus even more on the aroma and flavor.

It's close to Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station, so accessibility is good — worth a look if you're searching for a place to get coffee near Hapjeong Station.
