I was craving good meat, so I went to Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch! This time I was dining with my mom and cousin, so I put a bit more thought into picking the restaurant. After browsing around, I chose this place because the vibe, menu, and service all looked great. The food, atmosphere, and service were all satisfying, so I had a really pleasant meal :)
A place where you can enjoy great drinks along with meat and seafood, Yukmong! Let me introduce it in detail now!
How to get to Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, and where to park
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Bangi-dong, Seoul, occupying the basement floor plus 1st and 2nd floors at 9-13 Ogeum-ro 15-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. You can walk there from Exit 2 of Songpanaru Station on Line 9. Hours are 12:00 to 24:00, with a weekday break from 15:00 to 17:00, and no break on Saturdays and Sundays. The exterior looks really clean! There's parking for up to 4 cars beside the building too :)

Inside Yukmong Bangi: private rooms and table setup
Stepping inside, the space was spacious and pleasant! It had an upscale feel haha. I thought it would be great not just for family gatherings but also for meals with friends or work dinners.

Besides regular seating, there were also private rooms available for a more intimate meal, so I liked that you could pick your seat depending on the type of gathering.
Corkage at Yukmong Bangi: first bottle free
And one thing I was glad about — one bottle of corkage is free! I'm pregnant so I couldn't drink, which was a bummer, but still, 1 bottle free! From the second bottle, they charge ₩10,000 per bottle for wine glasses and service, so keep that in mind :)
There's also a review event with chadol haejang ramyeon (brisket hangover ramyeon) and yukhoe (beef tartare) — pretty amazing, right? Worth checking out 🤍
What the three of us ordered, and what it cost
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is a Bangi-dong Korean BBQ restaurant where you can try everything from a Korean pork sampler set to hanwoo (Korean beef) tteukbaeksal (top blade).

- Korean pork sampler set 550g ₩69,900
- Skirt meat (gapjori) 150g ₩19,000
- Radish, cheese, egg kimchi fried rice ₩12,000
This is what we ordered.
The banchan (side dishes) that come before the pork
After ordering the meat, the banchan (side dishes) arrived, and the lineup was quite satisfying.

I was especially surprised to see seasoned crab (yangnyeom gejang) show up haha. It wasn't just a lot of dishes — each one actually tasted good too ☺️

There was also a variety of sauces prepared to go with the meat, so we could pick according to our taste.

This kind of thoughtful setup subtly boosts how satisfying the meal feels.

Korean pork sampler set 550g: three cuts on one plate
The main dish we ordered, the Korean pork sampler set, lets you try three cuts at once: thick-cut pork belly, whole pork neck, and skirt meat. At 550g for ₩69,900, it was just right for the three of us.

It's a perfect set when you want to try a variety of cuts! 👍 Above all, the thickness of the meat was great. Can you tell how thick it is just from the photo?
The quality of the meat was satisfying, and I also liked that the staff grilled it for us directly.

At Korean BBQ places, you often end up focused entirely on grilling so the meat doesn't burn, but here a skilled staff member grilled the meat for us directly!!
They explained how to grill each cut and carefully checked whether the doneness was right. Thanks to that, we didn't have to worry about grilling and could just relax and chat with my mom and cousin throughout the meal.
Why staff recommend ginger with the skirt meat
They explained that the pork neck was grilled a bit more well-done, and the doneness was just right.

And what impressed me especially was that they recommended sauces that suited each cut.
The staff recommended pairing the skirt meat with ginger, and when I actually tried it, it went together even better than I expected.

The meat itself was juicy and delicious, but having them share which pairing worked with each cut made it even more enjoyable.
Adding 150g more skirt meat (galmaegisal)
Even after finishing the sampler set, there was one cut we kept thinking about — the skirt meat! We ordered an extra 150g for ₩19,000 haha. Apparently only about 200g of skirt meat comes from a single pig, making it a special cut. It was chewy with a great bite and juicy — genuinely delicious.

Finishing with kimchi fried rice, radish salad, cheese and egg
After eating our fill of meat, we were full, but there was still one dish we couldn't skip. Radish, cheese, egg kimchi fried rice 🥹 ₩12,000.

Just look at how appetizing the fried rice looks! With radish, cheese, egg, and kimchi all mixed together, it made a great finishing dish after the meat.

Honestly, when we ordered it, everyone said they were full and we thought we might not finish it...?!? But guess what haha. Spoonful by spoonful, everyone kept saying it was delicious, and we ended up clearing the whole bowl lol.
I guess you really have to eat the fried rice at a Korean BBQ place even when you're full. I think we would have really regretted skipping this haha.
Is Yukmong Bangi worth it for a family dinner?
Since it was a meal with my mom and cousin, I made sure to pick a place with good food, atmosphere, and service, and overall it was a satisfying meal.
- We got to enjoy thick, delicious Korean pork across multiple cuts, and having the staff grill it for us meant we could focus on conversation during the meal, which I especially liked.
- The thoughtful service of recommending the right doneness and sauce for each cut was also impressive.
- The restaurant is clean and spacious with both regular seating and private rooms, so it's worth considering for a family dinner or group gathering.
Above all, finishing off with the fried rice made for a truly full and happy meal :) If you're looking for a place in Bangi-dong to enjoy great meat and a comfortable meal, Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is worth a visit.
