In short
Haemokjeong Yeonsu Main Branch is a seafood and rib stew restaurant on Beotkkot-ro in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, a 1-minute walk from Exit 1 of Yeonsu Station. The order here was the spicy pork rib stew, with minari and bean sprouts wrapped around the rib meat and a kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) add-on stirred into the sauce at the end. It's been featured on SBS Live Today and has racked up 2 million and 3 million views on YouTube, so I went in with high expectations.

Once I visited in person, I immediately understood why so many people recommend it and why it's so well known among locals. The taste, atmosphere, accessibility, and friendly service were all excellent, so I'm here to give you a detailed and honest review!

Haemokjeong's signature stews and the value lunch menu
Haemokjeong is a premium seafood restaurant that combines the treasures of the sea with rib dishes, a classic land-based tonic food. In particular, they say they use a stock simmered for a long time from 23 kinds of herbal medicine ingredients and natural materials, along with fresh seafood delivered directly from the source and prepared by hand every morning.

- Abalone seafood rib stew / Abalone seafood stew / Abalone seafood soup
- Haemokjeong Special
- Spicy boneless anglerfish stew / Spicy pork or beef rib stew
- Chive duck stir-fry

They also have a solid lineup of affordable lunch options, especially for solo diners, couples, or nearby office workers. It's a great menu lineup if you're looking for a Yeonsu-dong lunch spot,

with mushroom kalguksu, egg-roe mushroom kalguksu, handmade pork cutlet, chive squid stir-fry, chive octopus stir-fry, and cold kalguksu all offering a proper meal at reasonable prices. It would make a solid choice for a hearty lunch or even a solo meal in Yeonsu-dong.
How does the spicy pork rib stew taste? Piles of minari, meat off the bone
We ordered Haemokjeong's signature dish, the spicy pork rib stew.

The moment I saw how it looked when it arrived, my jaw dropped! Ribs were piled generously on a wide flat pan, topped with plenty of fresh, crisp minari (water dropwort). Sesame seeds were scattered on top for a nutty aroma, and the smell of the sweet-spicy special sauce was sharp and enticing.

But what impressed me most was the premium aged ribs. They're said to be marinated for 24 hours in a secret sauce made from 10 kinds of fruits and vegetables, and were so tender that the meat slid right off the bone with just a light touch of the chopsticks.

The savory, briny depth of the seafood, the juiciness of the ribs, and the natural sweetness of the fruit-based sauce all came together addictively. The balance of spicy and sweet was so good that I thought this would make a perfect date spot near Yeonsu Station for couples looking for a special meal.
Because the base sauce itself is built on a rich stock simmered from 23 ingredients, it wasn't just harsh spiciness — it was full of a deep, rich tonic-food flavor. Wrapping the crunchy bean sprouts and vegetables, along with the minari soaked in the spicy Yeonsu-dong seafood stew sauce, around the rib meat was pure heaven.
Finishing the sauce with a kalguksu noodle add-on
After eating our fill of seafood and ribs, we added the one essential add-on you can't skip — kalguksu noodles!

The kalguksu noodles came pre-boiled, and all you had to do was drop them into the sauce and give them a light stir-fry. Between the chewy, springy noodle strands, the deep flavor of the special seafood rib sauce soaked in beautifully — it was truly a special treat.

It had a different charm from udon noodles or fried rice. The noodles held onto the sauce tightly, letting me finish every last bite moist and full of umami. With great atmosphere, generous portions, and great taste all in one, I can't think of a better spot for a romantic yet delicious date near Yeonsu Station.

Final verdict: who should eat at Haemokjeong Yeonsu
Haemokjeong Yeonsu Main Branch was more than just a good restaurant — it was a premium spot where you can taste true, heartfelt tonic food.

With well-organized, budget-friendly lunch specials, I'd strongly recommend it for office workers looking for a Yeonsu-dong lunch spot, and I'd also list it as a top pick for a date spot near Yeonsu Station for a special day or when you need a change of pace with your partner.

And if you're looking to try a deeply flavored Yeonsu-dong seafood stew or seafood rib stew piled with live abalone from Wando and plenty of seafood, this is hands down my number one recommendation.

It's also a top-notch restaurant for bringing your parents or enjoying a get-together with friends or coworkers. If you want to try truly proper seafood dishes and rib stew in Yeonsu-dong, Incheon, be sure to visit Haemokjeong Yeonsu Main Branch! I'm planning to go back soon with my own family.
