Busanjin curry restaurant with sausage and poached egg: Sarugak20

I had a weekend date with my husband~~ While looking for a Busanjin lunch spot, I remembered Sarugak20, which I’d visited before. We wanted a filling rice meal and weren’t in the mood for anything red and super spicy! Once we settled on curry, Sarugak20 naturally came to mind, so off we went ♥

My husband and I came together, but there are counter seats and seats facing the window, so it’s also an easy Busanjin lunch restaurant for eating alone. It’s in the basement directly opposite the Busanjin Community Service Center entrance!!! Although it’s below ground, the layout lets in loads of natural light, making it a bright, warm space. You can even have a solo meal by the sunny window >_<

They had decorated with lots of cute little items, too! It felt like I was on a trip to Japan. I’m going to Japan soon and I want to go already.. ♥ It’ll be my first time in Japan with my husband, so I’m even more excited—heart fluttering~

They have lime-infused water as well as plain water!!!! And they also offer cute, pretty drinks like melon cream soda, which go nicely with curry. They said you can linger over a drink after your meal, too~~~ Oh, and they have Ebisu draft beer, which is a perfect match for curry, so you can enjoy a beer with your curry as well!!!!

The curries and side dish we ordered

• Sausage Special Curry ₩12,000
• Half-and-half Curry ₩10,000
• Add scrambled egg ₩1,500
• Sweet potato cheese croquette ₩3,500

We each ordered one curry and got a side dish, too!! We also added scrambled egg to the half-and-half curry >,<

I wanted beer, but since it was daytime, I held back~ We had to go to a café afterwards, haha. I happily gulped down an ice-cold Zero Coke instead.

My husband was calling out for protein!!!! So we added scrambled egg. They piled it on so adorably and fluffy~ The half-and-half curry comes with half cream curry and half special curry. The special curry has a deep, rich curry flavor, while the cream curry is Sarugak20’s signature dish: smooth and nutty!!!! I loved being able to try both in the half-and-half curry~ ♡

I ordered the Sausage Special Curry. At first I thought it was simply called Special Curry, but when I looked closely, it was Sausage Special Curry, haha. I think it’s called that because it comes with sausage topping, haha. Such great naming~~ The Sausage Special Curry came with sausage and a poached egg, with cheese sprinkled over the curry >,<

The poached egg was lightly cooked in water without its shell!! The yolk was soft-set while the white was cooked through, so it was great to pop it and eat it with the curry. The cheese made it even nuttier and really brought out the curry’s flavor. I’m going to order the Sausage Special Curry again next time. The sausage topping goes sooo well with curry, too ♡

That’s my review after scraping every last bit from the bowl~ ^^ Whenever I crave curry, I visit Sarugak20 for lunch in Busanjin. I’m always sooo satisfied whenever I visit. For anyone who lives too far away or wants to enjoy Sarugak20 curry at home, delivery is available, too! They have beef curry, frozen curry meal kits, and handmade spinach curry available for delivery, so keep that in mind if you want to enjoy it at home, haha. Sarugak20 is a Busanjin lunch spot where I’ve enjoyed every visit!
