Gwangmyeong jjukkumi restaurant with jjolmyeon noodles: Jeongipum
In short
Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch is a hot-plate jjukkumi (spicy stir-fried webfoot octopus) restaurant in Iljik-dong, next to AK Plaza by Gwangmyeong Station. Arriving right after the 16:00–17:00 break, the writer ordered the spicy hot-plate jjukkumi with extra noodles and black pork belly for two, then added jjolmyeon noodles, self-made flying fish roe rice balls and snow cheese fried rice, and the octopus was as plump as if in season. More than 80 percent of the tables were reserved, so booking ahead at Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch is essential.

Looking for a jjukkumi restaurant in Gwangmyeong? No question, come to Jeongipum,,,🤧

Do you need a reservation at Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch?
Reservations are essential at Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch. I visited right after break time ended and over 80% of the tables were reserved😝 It's doing so well that it even expanded and relocated — a genuinely popular spot!
📍You can reserve through Naver Reservations or Catch Table, and they'll call to confirm about 30 minutes before your reservation time, so make sure to answer🫧
The restaurant was spacious and comfortable! The tables weren't cramped together either, which I really liked.
Oh right🤪 when we left after eating, the line was long. Reservations are a must >,<!!
When you reserve, they display your name at the table, so you feel taken care of from the start✨ hahahahaha

The food comes out right on time, and staff keep coming by to refill side dishes. Ten thousand points for thoughtfulness

What the spicy jjukkumi set for two includes
We ordered the spicy hot-plate jjukkumi with extra noodles (black pork belly) for two, jjolmyeon noodles, self-made flying fish roe rice balls, and snow cheese fried rice. Pretty much a lot hahahahaha but seriously, you have to try the fried rice

There's a kids' menu too, so a lot of families come here haha. The kids' tray was so cute🍀

They run review events and coupon events too, so definitely~~~ join and get flying fish roe refills or fried rice🙋🏻♀️

One steamed egg dish comes standard and it's so good I almost ordered another one lol

The staff member asked to step back slightly so as not to be in the way, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch!! Guests just get to sit back and enjoy — such an easy experience at Jeongipum Jjukkumi🐙

How spicy is the spicy level, and how big is the jjukkumi?
The spicy level at Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch made my nose sweat. But I can't forget that spicy, savory jjukkumi stir-fry flavor,,,•••

The meat was really substantial, and even though jjukkumi is the main event, the portion was really generous, which I loved❤️
This is the reason I'm booking again — while eating I kept saying I'd never seen such plump jjukkumi (seriously). How is it this big and plump, like it's in peak season,,, 🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙✨✨

Lettuce wraps and self-made flying fish roe rice balls
Wrap it in perilla leaf + gim (seaweed) + shredded radish + mayonnaise + flying fish roe and you can eat unlimited amounts. Everything except the flying fish roe is refillable, so eat up freely❗️
With the spicy braising liquid making me crave rice, I ordered the flying fish roe rice balls — the portion was generous and it went so well with the jjukkumi >__<🍚

For the jjolmyeon noodles, you simmer them in the thickened broth, and since they come pre-boiled, you can eat quickly😌

The highlight: snow cheese fried rice
But the highlight of everything is the fried rice••• the combination of jjukkumi sauce and cheese? Words fail me. Just go and eat it yourself, please
