Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch is a well-known spot in Dangdong, Gunpo. My boyfriend said it's his go-to for pizza delivery, and I was curious, so when I heard you could also do pizza-beer or even pizza-soju right there in the hall, I went on a day I was craving pizza 🍕

How big is the hall, and what's on the projector?

The hall could fit way more people than it looked like from outside! This Dangdong, Gunpo restaurant even lets you watch baseball on a beam projector. Since it opens at 11am, it seemed like a great place to catch a World Cup or Olympics match too haha 👀 Plenty of takeout customers and delivery riders came through, and quite a few people were dining in as well.

Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch has more than just pizza — smoked chicken, odeng-tang (fish cake soup), golbaengi-muchim (spicy whelk salad) as anju (drinking snacks), plus a variety of sides like salad, spaghetti, and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) ❗️

There's also a great-value set menu that lets you enjoy pizza with various sides for around ₩40,000, so I'd recommend it if you want to try a bit of everything ✨ We came as a pair and ordered a medium pizza, half crispy bulgogi and half bacon potato. ✔️For half-and-half pizzas, the topping price is added proportionally for each half.

Along with garlic dipping sauce and pickles, they also bring out parmesan cheese and hot sauce separately. Nice touch giving you two of each sauce 👍

Drinks: draft beer, bottled beer and soju

From draft to bottled beer — Cafri, Heineken, San Miguel, Budweiser, Hoegaarden, Guinness — the variety is great news for anyone looking for a pizza-beer spot in Gunpo. And whoa... they even have soju!! Pisso squad, make some noise~~ 🔥

Medium half-and-half pizza: how were the bulgogi and bacon potato toppings?

Delivery pizza is great and all, but nothing beats a pizza fresh out of the oven at the restaurant. Even the medium size was bigger than other places' — I can't even imagine how big the large is,,?

My pick, bacon potato, and my boyfriend's Seonmyeonghui go-to, crispy bulgogi, in one half-and-half pizza 😎

You could tell they didn't hold back on toppings — even a single slice of the medium felt pretty heavy. We didn't add extra cheese, but the base amount was already generous.

Why the basic dough was enough

I'm usually not a fan of the crust end when eating pizza, so I often switch to the crust-stuffed dough option, but this time I forgot and just ordered basic — oops, I thought 🫣 But looking at the pizza, the toppings went all the way to the edge of the dough, so it turned out to be a good thing I didn't switch it after all!! Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza's dough has a thin crust too — it's basically just there to hold onto..‼️

Full points for including garlic dipping sauce as standard too 🙌 The garlic flavor wasn't too strong, just mildly sweet and on the thinner side, so it was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy!

One medium pizza for two, with the last two slices boxed to go

Even with two of us sharing one medium pizza, the toppings were so generous that we filled up fast! Even eating our best, we ended up with two slices left over.. 🫪 I felt a little bad asking them to pack just two slices, so I asked for a bag instead, but they went ahead and boxed it up anyway, saying a bag would be awkward to carry — such kindness ㅠㅠ I was touched ❣️
