Gunpo pizza restaurant with tteokbokki and beer: Seonmyeonghui
In short
Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch is a dine-in and takeout pizza restaurant on Yongho 1-ro in Dangdong, Gunpo, Gyeonggi. Three of us ordered an L-size half-and-half pizza (combination + crispy bulgogi) for 24,000 won with Rich Gold dough added, and had 4,900 won tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) with bottled Cass beer while the pizza baked. With a large screen for watching games and a 5,000 won discount on takeout, Seonmyeonghui Pizza works both for a beer night in and a pizza run home.

I was craving good pizza I could eat right at the restaurant, so I headed to Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza in Dangdong, Gunpo. Seonmyeonghui Pizza kneads and manages its dough in-house, and I'd heard a lot of praise for how chewy the crust turns out, so I went in with high expectations.

Where is Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza in Dangdong, Gunpo?
Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch is located at 16 Yongho 1-ro, Gunpo-si. It sits in Dangdong, Gunpo, directly across from the Yongho-maeul e-Pyeonhansesang apartments.

You can eat in or get takeout here, and one thing that stood out was the ₩5,000 discount on takeout orders. Most pizza places are mostly delivery or takeout only, but this one has a comfortable dine-in space, making it a great Gunpo spot for enjoying pi-maek (pizza and beer) :)
Inside the restaurant: pizza and beer in front of a big screen
The interior of Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch was more spacious than I expected, with plenty of 4-person and 6-person tables. One wall has a large screen installed, so on days with a big sports match, this looks like a great place to watch the game while enjoying pi-maek.

Menu prices, add-on options and the review event
Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza has a wide variety of pizzas on offer. For ₩2,000 more you can switch to a half-and-half pizza, and for ₩4,000 more you can choose a different dough. There's also a good range of side dishes that pair well with pizza, so it's easy to order a well-rounded spread.

What comes free with every order
Hot sauce, parmesan cheese, pickles, garlic sauce, and ppeong-twigi (a puffed rice snack) come standard. The garlic sauce in particular was delicious paired with the crust :)
What we ordered at Seonmyeonghui Pizza
We ordered cola, bottled Cass beer, tteokbokki, and an L-size pizza.

Canned cola 2,000 won and bottled Cass beer 5,000 won
I ordered a can of cola and was happy it came with a nice cold glass of ice. I got beer too, of course, since I was there for the pi-maek :)
Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), 4,900 won

Since the pizza takes about 15 minutes, we ordered tteokbokki to snack on in the meantime. It was that classic sweet-salty-and-spicy combo, and it went really well with beer :)
L-size half-and-half pizza with Rich Gold dough
Pizza L size ₩24,000 + half-and-half pizza +₩2,000 + Rich Gold dough +₩4,000 + crispy bulgogi +₩2,000

There were three of us, so we went with the L size, and to taste a bit of everything we paid ₩2,000 extra for a half-and-half pizza: combination pizza on one side, and the crispy bulgogi — their best-selling menu — on the other for another ₩2,000. We also paid ₩4,000 extra to switch the dough to Rich Gold for even better flavor :) Going half-and-half made it look even more appetizing.

This is the combination pizza — a sweet, fully-loaded pizza with generous, varied toppings like pineapple, pepperoni, ham, meatballs, bacon, onion, mushroom, corn, sausage, and bell pepper, giving you a range of textures in every bite.

And this is the crispy bulgogi pizza, Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza's signature best-seller, packed with the flavor of nicely charred bulgogi. It comes drizzled with a special house sauce on top.

Since I wanted to taste the sweeter side too, we switched the dough to Rich Gold. The cheese is already generous by default, but with the Rich Gold dough it felt even more abundant, which I loved :)
Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza is well known for its generous cheese, and lifting up a slice showed off a satisfying, long cheese pull. The toppings were piled on generously too, making for an even tastier pizza.

I wanted a bit of a kick, so I drizzled on some hot sauce to taste :)
The crust was light yet chewy and delicious, and it was great dipped in the garlic sauce too :)
