Jeonpo pizza restaurant hangover cure with puttanesca pasta: Pickles

Been looking for somewhere really hot around Jeonpo Café Street lately? haha I'd had my eye on this place from Instagram and blog posts for a while and finally made it there! Let me introduce you to Pickles, a Western food spot near Seomyeon 💛

Where is Pickles and how do you get there?

Pickles is on the 1st floor of Seojeon-ro 46beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, right in the heart of Jeonpo Café Street. It's open from 11:00 to 21:00, with last order at 20:00.

For parking, you can use Jeonpo Station parking, Woongjin, Hyundai Tower, Duwon, or Taeyang Minyoung parking lots. Tip: use the nearby paid parking lots!

It's right in the center of Jeonpo Café Street so it's super easy to find! By subway, it's a 5-minute walk from Seomyeon Station exits 6/2 or Jeonpo Station exit 7 haha

What is the inside of Pickles like?

Once you step inside Pickles, it's way cozier than it looks from outside. Wood-tone interior paired with cream-colored sofa seating — honestly that combo should be illegal ㅠㅠ

And the window seats get such pretty natural light.

Plus it's an open kitchen, so you can watch the whole pizza-making process right in front of you. Totally reassuring hygiene-wise, and fun to watch too.

With the soft lighting and tasteful little decor pieces on top, I'd highly recommend it as a date course or blind-date spot. The vibe is just really good... 👍

What's on the menu at Pickles?

The menu is pizza-centered but also has a huge range — pasta, lasagna, salad, even chicken steak.

Pickles come out by default, and the handmade pickles are seriously delicious!

What we ordered: half-and-half pizza with the pasta set

Everything looked so good I agonized for a while, then ordered the half-and-half pizza and a pasta set!

Half taco, half beef cheeseburger. The visuals were seriously no joke!!!!

Taco pizza at Pickles

The Pickles taco pizza is topped with classic American soul-food taco fixings on a pizza base!

Thanks to the Mexican-style toppings, it tasted way more exotic and rich than a regular pizza.

The savory depth from the meat topping, the nuttiness of the cheese, and the spice punch of the taco seasoning together — my hand just kept reaching for more haha. The sour cream and the crunch of the nachos were also so good!!

Sprinkle a little of the hot sauce or salt provided at the store on the crust ends — the flavor just explodes, so definitely try it that way!

Puttanesca pasta

🍝 PUTTANESCA. A tomato-based oil-and-tomato pasta where olives, capers, and anchovies push the savoriness to the max!

The tangy tomato flavor mixed with the salty olives really woke up my appetite. The noodles were cooked perfectly too, with the sauce soaked in nicely haha

Subtly salty yet clean, with a savory depth that kept me reaching for more even when I was already full.

Beef cheeseburger pizza

The beef cheeseburger pizza was seriously insane! They said it recreates the taste of a New York-style beef cheeseburger, and sure enough, the moment it hit my mouth the full bulgogi-cheeseburger flavor hit — impossible not to like!

Salty, savory, rich — the balance is just artful!!

I had this the day after drinking as a hangover cure and was so satisfied haha

Pasta + pizza crust ends combo is also great 💟

The handmade pickles that come standard were seriously tasty, and you can grab unlimited refills from the self-bar, so eat up!

Final verdict on Pickles in Seomyeon and Jeonpo

During the day, Pickles has that New York brunch vibe — great for a casual coffee and lunch spot. In the evening, under the soft lighting, it's perfect for a date over good food!
