Busanjin bar's O-Dae-Bal platter with fire chicken sauce: Yuumangju
In short
Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is a late-night cooking bar on the 2nd floor of the Sseolpa building in Seomyeon, Busanjin, Busan, serving beef intestine, chicken feet and cuttlefish on one plate. Two friends stopped in after a 9:30pm class, ordered the ₩34,900 O-Dae-Bal platter and a flying fish roe rice ball, and finished the beef intestine with fire chicken sauce a staff member brought out when it got greasy. The cuttlefish was soft and chewy and the boneless chicken feet were plump — both were the table's favorites.

This post includes items I paid for myself.
Did you have a good weekend~? On Saturday I went to a study room in Yongho-dong and sat at a desk for ten hours! But because of a Girls' Day issue my body was in pretty bad shape....... In the evening I went to Kyungsung University area to eat meat, came home and slept, but I was in so much pain all night I barely got any sleep ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Sunday I spent in bed with the pain ㅠ
Today I woke up in pain again at 4am. Of all days, today's Labor Day in the US — maybe I should've just rested. Ugh. The medicine wasn't even working so I took another dose. I'm dying of pain here,,, I've clearly been out having fun without exercising and drinking too much for a month, so no wonder I'm hurting ㅠ It was fine for a while too.. sigh ㅠ Time to take care of my body again. Anyway, that was my weekend~ Let's push through the weekdays again!
What I'm introducing today is a hot new bar in Seomyeon, Busan, recently opened, where you can enjoy beef intestine, chicken feet and cuttlefish all at once!
Location and hours of Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch

📍Bujeon-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan. A hot new bar in Seomyeon that stays open late, serving up a killer side dish combo of beef intestine, chicken feet, and cuttlefish all at once — Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch.
- ⏰ Sun–Thu 17:00–03:00 / Fri–Sat 17:00–04:00
- ✅ Group seating available, separate men's/women's restrooms, reservations, wifi, waiting area, mobile payment

My Japanese class ends at 21:30, and right when it ended I just wanted to go to a hot new Seomyeon bar with great side dishes and drink! So I immediately texted my drinking buddy. Are we on today? Even though she had her own plans, thank you to my drinking buddy for rushing over from 9pm to have a drink with me. Anyway, Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is a place I'd bookmarked because the side dishes looked so good — I knew I had to stop by and drink here eventually, and finally I did. It's on the 2nd floor of the Sseolpa building.

Seomyeon on a weekday might seem quiet, but it is NOT!!!!!! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It was packed with dressed-up 20-somethings. Meanwhile I, a pig, showed up in the most comfortable sweatpants — a little embarrassed haha.
Menu, prices, and the side dish lineup

The side dish lineup here is insane. There are so many super intense dishes. Truly the best drinking food ever,,,,,,, being able to get everything you want in one dish makes this the ultimate bar for people who love bold, tasty food — O-Dae-Bal (cuttlefish, beef intestine, chicken feet), beef tartare & shrimp jang-kal bibim, kimchi daedori-tang, sujuk nurungji chicken soup, beef brisket seafood stew, beef tendon fish cake soup, sundubu mala pork skin — Yuumangju's got it all. Honestly I wanted to try every single one.

The sides are amazing too. Pork skin chive pancake, cheese bomb potato pancake, fire chicken egg pancake, doenjang rice, jjapaguri kimchi, spicy kimchi udon, pepperoni cream pasta, tomato pasta, flying fish roe rice ball, aged kimchi rice ball, fried rice, mango bingsu, strawberry bingsu, blueberry bingsu, oreo bingsu.
Looking at the menu lineup, I felt like the owner here must have done some serious drinking back in the day. Pork skin chive pancake, what is that,,,,,, seriously curious. Cream pasta with pepperoni... also totally curious, and aged kimchi rice ball.. fire chicken egg pancake,,,,,, wow ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I just wanted to try everything. A drooling pig over here.
That said, soju is ₩5,500 and beer is ₩6,000. A bit pricey, but who cares about the drink prices if the food's this good. Also, no Cass here either ㅠ It's so sad that nowhere seems to have Cass these days. This time we tried the Kelly + Chamisul combo. Still can't beat Cass though.

They're running a cool free service for the review event, but since we were already full and had to work the next day, we couldn't stay for the review event and headed straight home! Kind of a shame....... Looking at people who did get the review event, it looked like they got bingsu! Next time I come back I'm definitely getting the bingsu.
Interior, seating, and the crowd
The moment we walked in, a staff member greeted us super brightly! They must have known I was coming up the stairs, because the door was flung wide open. That kind of welcome...........so appreciated~!!!!!! Great vibes from the entrance~!!!!!!!!!! Their greeting was so loud that even the other drinking customers turned to look ㅋ Being an attention-lover, I didn't mind the spotlight.

It's bigger than expected, so it can hold a lot of guests at once! Looks like it can fit up to 100 people, so it's a great hot new Seomyeon bar for group reservations, group work dinners, or group get-togethers. There's also bar seating for solo drinkers! Woohoo.

The crowd ranged from 20s to 40s-50s, and while I figured the food would appeal more to women, there were actually a lot more men than I expected! There were dating couples, groups of women, but mostly it seemed to be groups of men,,! A hot new Seomyeon bar in Busan that's good for anyone to visit, where you can enjoy beef intestine, chicken feet, and cuttlefish all at once — Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch.
O-Dae-Bal, ₩34,900 — cuttlefish, chicken feet, beef intestine, udon noodles
My drinking buddy asked what I wanted to eat. I said either O-Dae-Bal or the beef tartare & shrimp jang-kal bibim, and it turned out she'd already ordered the O-Dae-Bal! I'd seen other people's reviews and really wanted to try it........ finally I got to meet it.

The basic side dish, a garlic baguette drenched in honey~ Even the basic side dish is no joke here. So sweet,,,,,, I'm already excited to see how bold the main dish will be!!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered Kelly since there's no Cass ㅠ Kelly + soju or Terra + soju, either way it's equally unimpressive........ㅋ Though Kelly does seem slightly better than Terra. Terra's flavor is too strong.

Here comes the O-Dae-Bal! Cuttlefish, chicken feet, beef intestine, and udon noodles all in one dish, for ₩34,900 — that's insane value, isn't it........

The staff member holding up the bottle for a photo — what great instincts!!!!!!!!!!! You press the buzzer and they come running right away, and if you're missing something they run right over too — the service is insane........... Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is bound to do well. The food is great and the service is amazing,,,,, bars like this are rare!!!!!!!!

Beef intestine, chicken feet, cuttlefish. There's even mayo and chili peppers on top of the cuttlefish;;;;;; truly someone who knows what they're doing. The staff member cut up the cuttlefish for us themselves and warned us water might splash, so I held my apron up tight ㅎ

Cuttlefish and boneless chicken feet
But this cuttlefish is insane. I'm not exaggerating, it's completely soft and chewy at the same time — out of this world ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ It tasted as good as the cuttlefish my dad catches fishing! Beef intestine itself is already fatty and can get greasy and tiresome quickly, right? Whenever that happens, going back for a bite of cuttlefish lets you keep going with the beef intestine again.
What is this. Why are the chicken feet so big,,,,,,, I had zero expectations for the chicken feet but as a chicken feet lover, this was the best in my book! They were boneless chicken feet with no fishy smell at all, plump with a nice chew, no bones, and the seasoning soaked in really well — this was the number one pick for both me and my drinking buddy.

Slurped down the udon noodles too~ Eat them while the noodles are still bouncy and firm.

When the beef intestine gets greasy, there's fire chicken sauce
The beef intestine,, this couldn't possibly not be delicious; it was really substantial and the pieces were big. At Yuumangju, the chicken feet, beef intestine, and cuttlefish all come in generous sizes! They don't seem to tolerate anything small. Oh.. even the staff member was tall ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Everything's big!!!!!!!!!!! One bite of the beef intestine and the savory flavor hits immediately, blood pumping, so delicious. But,, you know how beef intestine goes — you can't keep eating it forever ㅠㅠㅠㅠ It was starting to get a bit greasy so I asked if there was any sauce.
They brought out fire chicken sauce. It seemed like the staff already knew beef intestine gets greasy and had the sauce prepped ahead of time. I figured fire chicken sauce would also be too intense and not really work, but that was purely my own arrogant assumption.
Dipping it in the fire chicken sauce and it's out of this world again ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So good I devoured the beef intestine. My blood vessel age probably went up a notch that day ^^ But who cares~ It's delicious, that's what matters~

Finishing with the flying fish roe rice ball
Since the chicken feet, beef intestine, and cuttlefish dishes themselves were on the heavier side, we ordered the flying fish roe rice ball to balance things out a bit.

Even the flying fish roe rice ball was bold in flavor ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Sweet!!!!!! And so good ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Originally I thought about getting the fried rice with the O-Dae-Bal but figured that would be too much, so we got the rice ball instead — the portion was substantial and delicious, totally satisfying!

We said let's just eat simply, the two of us, but the side dishes turned out to be anything but simple....... This is probably why I keep gaining weight.... I can genuinely feel my belly fat and waist fat increasing ㅠㅠ Once my body feels better I'm heading straight to Gwangalli to run. Time to start paying attention to my body again,,,,,,, ㅎ
Even the medicine wasn't working this morning and I was in so much pain that I ended up taking sick leave. Girls' Day's really got me down after all this time,,,,, At lunch I had plans made last week so I went to the Kyungsung University area, quickly ate with some soldiers, and came back.
