Busanjin izakaya for spicy sundubu godoritang: 12.24 Seomyeon
In short
12.24 Seomyeon Branch is a Jeonpo-area izakaya in Busanjin, Busan, near Jeonpo Station, with year-round Christmas-themed interiors. The sundubu godoritang (soft tofu and beef intestine stew) and mackerel pressed sushi were the highlights, with a spicy stew broth closer to a fiery fish stew than a hot pot, plus three complimentary side dishes. With an indoor restroom, 4–6 person tables, and bar seating, it's a solid pick for a date or a blind date.

Here's my review of 12.24 Seomyeon Branch, a bar with great vibes in Jeonpo. It's located roughly between Jeonpo and Seomyeon, but closer to Jeonpo Station!
If you're looking for a bar in Jeonpo with a good atmosphere and a restroom inside, I recommend 12.24. The seating inside was spacious and the interior was so pretty it was perfect for a date! It seemed like it'd be great for a blind date too > <
12.24 works well as either a first or second spot for drinks, with a range of menu items from light yukhoe (raw beef) to hearty stews.
For those of us who are brides-to-be and need to do a pre-wedding cleanse but still want to go out drinking — 12.24 is perfect! Order the sashimi or yukhoe to load up on protein, and it's clean and light, great for dieting haha.
Open daily 17:00–02:00.

Where to find 12.24 Seomyeon Branch
It's located behind the old NC Department Store, and there are lots of hot spots nearby, so you may have walked past it before!

The menu really had a wide range of dishes and price points! We ordered one stew and one order of mackerel pressed sushi!

Interior and seating with a Christmas vibe all year round
The interior had a Christmas atmosphere — the kind of place where you can enjoy Christmas vibes all year round haha. Inside there were tables for 4 up to 6 people, plus bar seating too, so there was no worry about finding a seat! We came at 6pm and enjoyed a quick visit before heading out haha.

How to order, and ongoing events
You order through a tablet at the table, and if you take part in the review event, you get free karaage worth ₩5,500! 12.24 Seomyeon Branch had a bunch of events running!

There was also an Instagram follow + story share event going on! Follow and share a story to take part in a no-lose side dish draw! This is such a great deal, right~~

Three complimentary side dishes
The complimentary side dishes were sweet potato fritters, corn salad, and cabbage!

You know how addictive these sweet potatoes are, right? It's magic — you just keep eating them haha. A lot of places only give you one basic side dish, but they gave us three, so I was very satisfied!

Eat the mackerel pressed sushi while it's warm
The mackerel pressed sushi came out first! It wasn't fishy at all and was delicious! I heard it tastes even better when it's warm~

The mackerel was soft and the rice was seasoned just right, so we polished it off in no time haha. I heard they also sell futomaki, so I'll have to try that next time~ And the yukhoe at the next table looked so delicious too!

There's soy sauce at every table, so mix in some wasabi and dip it in there~ I said I was going on a diet, but with less than a month to go before the wedding, this soon-to-be bride is still out here eating so well ㅠ It was so delicious that I overate again that day.

So what does the sundubu godoritang taste like?
Next up was the sundubu godoritang! It felt like a meeting of soft tofu stew and godoritang (beef intestine stew) — spicy and just right as an anju (drinking snack) for soju!
You're supposed to let it boil for about 10 minutes before eating. This part was tough, I wanted to eat it so badly ㅠ If they hadn't given us the mackerel pressed sushi first, those 10 minutes would have been pure agony haha.

It was packed with beef intestine inside! I'd never thought to put soft tofu into godoritang before, but it was such an intriguing combo that I had to order it!

The beef intestine wasn't chewy and had no unpleasant smell at all, so it was really delicious! Anyone who likes beef intestine is bound to love this! It felt totally different from any godoritang I've had before! Before, it was always more like a gochujang-based hot pot, but this one felt more like a spicy fish stew?

The meat inside was all boneless, so it was easy to eat! I think because of the perilla leaves in it, it gave off that spicy fish stew feel! Less like a hot pot and more like a clean, spicy soft tofu stew!

And I usually don't like tofu, but the soft tofu here was so soft and went so well with the broth that I ended up scooping out and eating quite a lot of it haha.
The other anju all looked delicious too, so I'll have to come back again~ If you're looking for a first or second spot for drinks in Seomyeon, just go check out 12.24~ The interior is pretty and the yukhoe especially looked amazing!
