I visited a chicken bar in Seomyeon, Busan, where the chicken is great value and the beer is delicious too—such a nice place to enjoy a drink and head home happy.

The place is called “Craft Hans” (크래프트 한스). The crispy fried chicken was appealing with a slight kick, and it paired so well with Hans beer. Let me introduce this Seomyeon chicken bar where we had such a pleasant drink :)
It is located at 24 Dongcheon-ro 95beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea, around a 3-minute walk from Exit 6 of Seomyeon Station.
Hours are 17:00–02:00 from Sunday to Thursday, and 16:00–03:00 on Friday and Saturday.
Craft Hans Seomyeon exterior and the way upstairs

Craft Hans is on the second floor above Mokgumeong restaurant. It looked inviting at a glance, with a pretty sizable space too.

There was a standing menu board on the first floor, so you could check the menu before going in, and the chicken looked like seriously good value.

Just take the stairs up to the second-floor bar—it already put me in a good mood on the way up.
A great interior for a beer in Seomyeon

The interior was quite large, with such a lovely beer-bar atmosphere. We arrived almost right at opening time, but I think the mood would be even better after dark.

The window-side seats had wide-open windows, which looked perfect for enjoying a beer.

Overall, the beer-bar vibe was so good—just right for a pleasant drink.

They also had several varieties of Hans craft beer ready on the side.
Ordering crispy chicken and craft beer

The menu included many kinds of chicken, plus pizza, sausages, gambas, salads, and sides such as nachos and fries.

There was a wide range of drinks too: several craft beers, cocktails, highballs, and even samplers. We ordered Hans Crispy Chicken, Cajun fries, Hans Pilsner, and Hans I.P.A.

The complimentary snack was simple geonppang (hardtack biscuits), and we munched on it while waiting for the chicken.

Then out came the crispy chicken and fries! Both looked incredible, smelled great, and even seemed like generous portions. The chicken came with chicken radish pickles, mustard sauce, and sweet-spicy chicken sauce.
Crispy outside, juicy inside chicken
First up, the crispy chicken! True to its name, it looked wonderfully crunchy, and the pieces were nice and large.

Starting with a bite of the drumstick, the outside was crisp while the inside was juicy—so delicious.

Next I tried the breast meat, and it was really moist—not dry at all, just delicious chicken breast.

The chicken was tasty on its own, but dipping it in the sweet-spicy chicken sauce made it even better.

It was delicious dipped in the mustard sauce too.

A proper bite of chicken wing and thigh meat, followed by a sip of beer—perfect!

How Hans Pilsner and Hans I.P.A tasted
The beer on the left was Hans Pilsner and the one on the right was Hans I.P.A, and they were different in color from the start.

Hans I.P.A had a lightly sweet-and-tangy note when I tried it, followed by an appealing bitterness.

Hans Pilsner was a beer with more of a nutty richness than sweetness. Both beers went beautifully with the chicken, so we enjoyed every last bite in a great mood.

The fries we ordered as a side were plentiful and wonderfully crispy, which made them extra appealing.

A light dip of the crispy fries in ketchup kept them delicious right through to the end.
I was so happy after enjoying crispy fried chicken and a beer at this Seomyeon chicken bar~ The crispy chicken was crunchy outside and moist inside, while the beer went so well with it that we could enjoy our drinks happily to the very last bite. The chicken and beer were great, the fries were perfect too, and the owner was kind—another happy meal today :)
