Juchon, Gimhae gamjatang house with a serving robot: 40,000 won set
In short
Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch is a haejangguk (hangover soup) and gamjatang (pork bone soup) restaurant near the Deokam Industrial Complex in Juchon, Gimhae, with a master chef working on site. The writer came with two children and ordered the two-person set for 40,000 won, which brought gamjatang, garlic boiled pork slices, seasoned raw crab and stone pot rice with sungnyung (roasted rice tea), while a serving robot delivered the side dishes. Easy parking and a broth that is not spicy make Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch a generous meal to share with kids.

Hi, it's the Ongnammae mom, always out hunting for good food with my son and daughter. Now that the weather's cooling down, I keep craving hot soup. Last weekend, after stopping by Costco Gimhae, we swung by Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch in Juchon, Gimhae.

There was a dedicated parking area, which made it easy to arrive by car. I especially prefer places with easy parking when dining out with kids, and here I could walk in without any parking worries.
Inside the restaurant and the self-serve kimchi bar
Walking into Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch, the space was bigger than I expected. The tables weren't cramped, and there are also table-style private rooms.

There's enough space for a big group, so it looked good for family meals out or gatherings. Having plenty of room really matters when you're eating with kids, doesn't it? For families visiting with children like us, the atmosphere made for a more comfortable meal.

There's a self-serve bar off to one side, so it was convenient to help ourselves to kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi) and geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi) whenever we wanted.

A haejangguk and gamjatang specialist with a master chef on site
One thing that caught my eye walking into Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch was that a master chef is stationed on-site. These days when I'm hunting for good restaurants, places with a story behind the food make me more curious — and since this place specializes in haejangguk and gamjatang with a master chef personally overseeing the cooking, I found myself looking forward to it even more!
Menu and the 40,000 won two-person set at Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch
Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk offers a range of dishes beyond just haejangguk, including gamjatang. If you want a hearty meal solo, haejangguk works well; if you're visiting with family or a group, gamjatang seems great to share.

Our family ordered the two-person set for ₩40,000.

A little while after ordering, a serving robot brought out the tasty side dishes. My kids got so excited, shouting "The robot's bringing us our stuff!" haha.
How big is the gamjatang, and how was it with two kids?
The gamjatang arrived generously loaded with big bones, broth and ugeoji (dried napa cabbage leaves), plenty for two adults and two kids to share. As always, the first thing that hits you is just how hearty the dish looks.

Part of the fun of gamjatang is picking the meat off the bones one piece at a time, right? Haha. Pulling off the meat, dipping it lightly in the broth, and eating it together with the ugeoji — the hot broth and meat combo worked really well together.

The broth in particular was rich but still went great with rice, making it a satisfying meal on its own. It wasn't spicy, which was great for eating with the kids. The children stuck mostly to the meat while the adults worked through the broth and ugeoji too, and as a glass-noodle lover myself, I slurped those down happily too haha.

Garlic boiled pork slices and seasoned raw crab included in the set
The garlic boiled pork slices that come with the set were chewy, with the sharp bite of garlic and chili blending in nicely — we happily ate them piece by piece.

The sweet-spicy seasoned crab was also a total rice thief, making a bowl of rice disappear in no time — haha.

We scraped every last grain out of the stone pot rice, and finished it off with sungnyung (roasted rice tea) as a palate cleanser. It was a truly complete meal from start to finish.
Is the two-person set worth it? Final verdict
✨Ppyeodae Itneun Gamjatang Juchon Branch impressed me with its resident master chef, and above all, the hot broth and generous meat made for a genuinely filling meal. If you're in the Juchon area looking for haejangguk or gamjatang, or a place to eat heartily with family, Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch is worth considering!
