The weather's getting a little chilly these days, right? At times like this a hot bowl of soup and a hearty pot of gamjatang (pork bone and potato stew) just hits different ☺️ Today I want to introduce a Gimhae Yulha restaurant I found while shopping at Lotte Outlet Gimhae — Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang Yulha Branch!
This place actually opens at 8am. Not many spots open this early these days, right? It's great for breakfast, hangover soup, a hearty lunch, or even a drink in the evening 🙌🏻
Where is Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang Yulha Branch, and what are its hours?

- Hours: Daily 08:00 - 22:00
- Last order: 21:30

Is there parking at the Gimhae Yulha gamjatang restaurant?
You can park both in front of and behind the store, so it was convenient to visit with a car. Not much hassle if you're coming here after shopping and eating at Lotte Outlet Gimhae 🤍
The exterior of Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang

Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang Yulha Branch had a clean, spacious exterior with a traditional tiled roof as its highlight ☺️ There was a big banner at the entrance saying 'Open from 8am'! A place where you can get a hearty meal from early morning!
Inside: a wide, comfortable dining room

The interior is on the spacious side, so it looked good for a family meal out or dining with a group. There's group seating, and amenities like takeout, Wi-Fi, and separate men's/women's restrooms.
The self-serve bar with unlimited noodle refills
And I really loved that this place has an unlimited self-serve noodle bar 💓

You can't skip adding noodles when eating gamjatang, right? 🤭 You can grab as much of whatever noodles you want yourself, so it's great for enjoying it as hearty as you like.

If side dishes run low, you can grab more from the self-serve bar without hesitation!

Wow, there's even a slushie machine ~ 💜
The menu, from haejangguk to gamjatang
The menu had a wide variety, from bone haejangguk, boneless bone haejangguk, sundae haejangguk, and gamjatang to grilled bones, house-made garlic pork slices, jellyfish salad with pork slices, and house-made pork skin slices!

The boneless bone haejangguk especially caught my eye! Since the meat is hand-picked off the bone already, you can enjoy it without the hassle of picking bones yourself 👍🏻 If you're looking for haejangguk in Gimhae, this boneless option is worth considering too 🙌🏻
What the large-size gamjatang is like
We ordered the large gamjatang that day! I was a little torn since there was also the boneless haejangguk, but we planned to add noodles to the gamjatang and finish with fried rice, hehe. Yeah, on a day like this, gamjatang is the way to go 😆

The portion alone is impressive — one pot of gamjatang, and the amount really surprises you .. 🫢🫢🫢🫢

I've never seen gamjatang meat this big .. 🥹 Each piece is seriously huge, isn't it?!

It's even more surprising in person than in photos .. the meat pieces literally spill out of the bowl haha. This is something you really need to see for yourself .. 🤍
Also, Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang says it uses 100% Korean-sourced neck bones. They select and cut the domestic neck bones themselves and cook with care to give a deep, tender flavor without any gamey smell. Gamjatang really needs to be generous with meat to taste good, and this was pure generosity itself .. 🩵
Can you finish with fried rice?
You can't resist fried rice after eating gamjatang, right? 🤭 Of course I planned to finish with fried rice too.. but the gamjatang portion was so huge that my stomach was already completely full ..

I really wanted the fried rice but in the end I couldn't eat it .. 🥹 Next time I'll be sure to finish it off properly with fried rice!
