Seomyeon, Busan galbitang restaurant with a baby chair: Gang Galbitang

In short

Gang Galbitang Seomyeon is a handmade galbitang (beef short rib soup) restaurant on Saessak-ro in Busanjin, Busan. The 14,000 won galbitang came with a free serving of jungmyeon noodles shipped from Jeju, and the staff brought out a baby chair so the meal with a toddler stayed easy. With single-diner tables, a 9:20 a.m. opening and 30 minutes of parking support at the nearby Blue lot, Gang Galbitang is worth returning to again and again.

The free Jeju jungmyeon noodles, dunked in the galbitang

Gang Galbitang also has a rib noodle dish using jungmyeon (medium-thick wheat noodles) shipped directly from Jeju. Jungmyeon's thickness and chewy texture pair well with meat noodle soups! When I ordered the galbitang, I got to taste the jungmyeon as a free extra.

Galbitang and jungmyeon really go well together. Maybe because I'm a noodle fanatic, I found it even tastier than rice.

You can trust this place because every step is handmade at this handcrafted galbitang specialty restaurant. You can feel the effort to break away from the typical image of Korean food and create a more stylish dining spot. There's a real reason this place draws crowds from young people to seniors alike.

Tender ribs that separate easily with tongs

How the galbitang broth and short rib meat taste

The ribs are cooked so well that the meat separates easily from the bone with tongs^^ It's delicious every single time. The meat is tender, the broth is clean, and when I feel a cold coming on, coming here to eat warms up my worn-down body and makes me feel like I'm recovering.

Clear, clean galbitang broth
A meal with baby at Gang Galbitang

Is Gang Galbitang Seomyeon good with a baby?

I mixed rice into the galbitang broth for the baby and cut up soft rib meat into small pieces, and she ate so well~ My baby knows a good restaurant. Another reason I love Gang Galbitang is the staff, who are kind every time I visit. Even though there are several different staff members, I've always come away with the impression that they're consistently friendly. This time too, they brought out a baby chair so we could eat comfortably together.
