As someone who needs to eat tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) on a regular basis, I went to Suraban Seomyeon, a well-known Chinese restaurant near Bujeon Station.

When I visited it was before September 5th, so parking wasn't available yet, but now you can get 1 hour free parking at Yeongkwang Bookstore! Just note you need to spend ₩20,000 or more to get the 1-hour free parking ticket.

Besides the main hall, Suraban Seomyeon also has a private room. The room fits about 20 people and even has a baby chair ready.
I actually only found out this time that Suraban Seomyeon, the well-known Chinese restaurant near Bujeon Station, has a room! The first two photos above are the main hall, and the third is the room. There was a baby chair, and the room can hold around 20 people! The interior was clean and customers kept coming in steadily!

They have the Chinese restaurant classics: jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), tray jjajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, fried rice, and even Chinese-style cold noodles. The jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) in particular is made with a sauce from seafood and dried seafood that's low-temperature aged before cooking, apparently.

The table already had red pepper flakes, hair ties, vinegar, soy sauce, and paper cups set out.
There's also a self-serve bar with pickled radish, kimchi, onion, and chunjang (black bean paste) ready to go.
The great thing about Suraban Seomyeon, the well-known Chinese restaurant near Bujeon Station, is that you can eat all the rice you want!
After the meal you can even have coffee for dessert. They even had syrup and takeout cups ready — such a nice touch! 👍
Solo tray jjajangmyeon, 10,000 won: smoky wok flavor for one
A solo tray jjajangmyeon! Tray jjajangmyeon is usually a dish you can only order or finish with two or more people, so I loved that Suraban Seomyeon, the well-known Chinese restaurant near Bujeon Station, has a separate solo-size version.
It came with shrimp, squid, onion, and quail eggs.

Mixing the rice into the jjajang sauce was pure bliss. I'm bad with spice, so it was on the spicier side for my taste, and I ended up eating a lot of the sticky rice tangsuyuk!
Sticky rice tangsuyuk, 26,000 won for 3: crispy outside, chewy inside
Tangsuyuk is actually my favorite Chinese dish!! The medium size, serving 3, arrived. Since it's made with sticky rice, the outside was crispy and the inside was chewy. It had a light sprinkle of parsley on top.
It came out freshly fried and piping hot, and the portion was huge! I got to feast on tangsuyuk after a long time — so happy!!
You can see how packed it is with meat inside. The batter wasn't too thick either — just the right thickness! The inside was packed with meat, and it was moist and tender. The sauce was exactly the classic taste you'd imagine — tangy and sweet. The owner was also really kind.
