Starting off with my 158th Nomadic Food story today! 😊 This time I'm introducing a Chinese restaurant in Marine City, Haeundae, Busan called Bueokgan. 🥢 I usually love clean, delicious Chinese food, so I visited in person. It was great to be able to try a variety of Chinese dishes! Each dish came out neat and I enjoyed every bite. 🫶🏻 I got to try lots of tasty Chinese dishes and had a filling meal too! So let me share my review of Bueokgan, the Chinese restaurant in Marine City, Haeundae, Busan. 🎀

It's located next to Haeundae Hanwha Resort, on the 2nd floor above Subyeon Choigo Pork Gukbap, so it wasn't hard to find. 😊

What is the ocean view and dining room like?

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is on the 2nd floor with an ocean view, and the weather was great the day I visited so the view was especially good. The hall was more spacious than expected and the seating was generously spaced.

The weather was really great that day too! ☀️ This place could honestly be called a view spot — the ocean scenery was truly amazing!

Once inside, the space was more spacious than I expected! 🪑 The seating was generously spaced and the tables were wide, so I could enjoy my meal comfortably. The interior overall felt clean and tidy, which made the whole meal feel more pleasant. ✨

Each table also had a tablet for ordering, which made it convenient! After browsing the menu slowly, this is what we ordered. 🥢✨

Order done, and the weather was nice, and the view was even nicer! ☀️🌊 With the ocean in full view and such a great location, it was really a good spot to come for a meal. Best of all, after eating you can take a light walk along the promenade right in front! Filling up on delicious food and then enjoying a walk in the cool sea breeze made it even more satisfying. 🫶🏻

After ordering, we waited a bit and the side dishes, small plates, and utensils were all neatly set up. 🥢 Now just waiting for the delicious food to arrive one by one. 🤭

Mapo tofu rice bowl and gochu ganjajang

The first dishes to arrive at Bueokgan Chinese were the mapo tofu rice bowl and gochu ganjajang (spicy black bean noodles). The mapo tofu rice bowl paired soft tofu with a spicy, savory sauce that went perfectly with the rice — the dish I'd recommend most that day.

Made my mouth water just looking at it. 🤤 The mapo tofu rice bowl had soft tofu with a spicy, savory sauce that paired really well with the rice! The gochu ganjajang combined spicy chili flavor with sweet, rich jjajang taste, and I really enjoyed it. 🌶️ This place is especially great for mapo tofu rice bowl! ❤️ If you visit Bueokgan, definitely order the mapo tofu rice bowl. 👍🏻

How does the black vinegar tangsuyuk taste?

Next up, Bueokgan Chinese's black vinegar tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) is crispy fried pork loin topped with a rich, tangy-sweet black vinegar sauce. Crispy outside and moist inside, I kept reaching for more.

And the next dish was the black vinegar tangsuyuk! 🥩✨ The crispy fried tangsuyuk with its tangy-sweet, rich black vinegar sauce really woke up my appetite. 🤤 The pork loin was tender and juicy, and eating it with the sauce was really delicious! Crispy outside and moist inside, it was the kind of tangsuyuk you keep reaching for. 🫶🏻

Seriously, is there anything here that isn't delicious? 😆 Every single dish that came out was amazing and we both kept marveling as we ate! The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the view made the whole meal feel even better. 🫶🏻

Is Bueokgan Chinese a good spot for a family meal?

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch has a spacious layout and a wide menu, making it a good fit for family dinners or group meals with several people.

I think this is a really good restaurant to visit with family! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 With its clean, spacious atmosphere and varied menu, it's easy for people of all ages to enjoy. Honestly, is there almost anyone who dislikes Chinese food? 😆 If you're looking for a place for a family meal out or dining with a group, I'd recommend Bueokgan too! 🫶🏻
