Songjeong Korean restaurant, couple's drive lunch: Songjeongok
In short
Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch is an abalone and seafood Korean set-menu restaurant on Songjeonggwangeogol-ro in Haeundae, Busan. After a walk along Songjeong Beach, a couple ordered the abalone seafood hinoki set for two at 46,000 won and ate through gabrisal bossam (boiled pork wraps), seafood steamed in a hinoki box, and abalone pot rice with cream innards sauce like a full course. With a dedicated parking lot and a second floor up a mint-green staircase, Songjeongok works well for a family meal or for treating guests.

Hi everyone, this is Innaeng. The weather was so nice today that my wife and I went for a mood-boosting drive to Songjeong Beach in Busan. After a walk along the wide open blue sea, we got hungry, so we went looking for a place near the Songjeong shore where we could properly restore our energy while still enjoying a nice atmosphere.

Where is Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch, and what are its hours and parking?
We picked Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch for lunch today. It's on 54-1 Songjeonggwangeogol-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, right along a street with a pretty view of Songjeong Beach, using both the 1st and 2nd floors.

🚗 Parking info (very important!) Parking near Songjeong is always a worry when you drive, but Songjeongok has its own dedicated parking space right in front, which was really convenient. If the lot happens to be full, you can park along the road in front of the restaurant — that roadside parking is open free to the public outside peak season, so it felt easy to use. (Just remember your manners and move your car quickly after eating if you're heading somewhere else like the beach or a café — save the spot for the next guest!)
We opened the door and stepped into the 1st floor.

Wood tones on the first floor, a roomy second floor up the mint-green staircase
The 1st floor interior was done in warm wood tones, a calming atmosphere. Simple Korean-style decor pieces and old-fashioned earthenware jars were placed here and there, giving it the tidy, quiet feel unique to a hanjeongsik (Korean set-course) restaurant. The open kitchen let us catch glimpses of the cooking, and the whole place was kept so clean it earned our trust before we'd even eaten.

Before ordering, my wife said she thought there was space on the 2nd floor too and suggested we take a look, so up we went out of curiosity.

The staircase up to the 2nd floor was painted a pretty mint (green) color, giving it a retro yet emotional feel. It felt less like a restaurant and more like stepping into a hip café. Climbing the stairs was fun in itself.
At the top, a bright, spacious room opened up with a completely different charm from downstairs! Long trailing green plants hanging from the ceiling (plant interior styling), warm-toned lighting, and red brick decor all came together beautifully. The natural light was great and the tables were spaced generously. Baby chairs were well stocked too, making it look perfect for a family meal with young kids, a group gathering, or hosting important guests.
Songjeongok menu and prices: what 46,000 won for two includes

We took our seats and read through the menu carefully.

Songjeongok is a place proposing restorative fine dining where prized ingredients from sea and land meet. Its two signature items were the 'abalone pot rice set' (₩19,000) and the 'abalone seafood hinoki set' (₩23,000), and the 'whole octopus, parboiled' (₩20,000) also caught our eye for its supposedly overwhelming presentation.
We ordered two servings of the 'abalone seafood hinoki set,' the premium restorative dish that lets you taste everything Songjeongok does at once. For two people at ₩46,000, we got to enjoy abalone seafood hinoki steam, gabrisal bossam (steamed pork wrap), and even the signature abalone pot rice, all served almost like a full course. Isn't that an incredibly generous spread for the price? In these high-inflation times, this is genuinely the best.
The full Songjeongok spread and its side dishes

After chatting for a bit post-order, a jaw-dropping, gorgeous spread was laid out on the table.

A huge round plate filled the whole table. In the center sat pale, glossy gabrisal bossam, kept warm, surrounded by neat side dishes arranged in a circle like a work of art. There was spicy-sweet soy marinated crab, fresh salad, mild tofu, dried radish and various kimchi that go perfectly with bossam, and even a savory soup — every single side dish was made with real care, so there was joy in just looking at it before eating.

Songjeongok's bossam is nothing like the usual dry, plain pork!
