A warm wood-toned Italian restaurant in Gwangalli
There are so many good restaurants and lovely spots around Gwangalli these days. Extra Mile is also a popular date spot among younger diners.

This Gwangalli Italian restaurant has a calm, charming pale wood interior behind the white exterior of a converted house.
Let's head into Extra Mile in Gwangalli~ The all-wood-toned interior felt wonderfully warm, while sunlight through the large windows made the space bright and relaxing.

It has an open kitchen, so you can watch the food being prepared after ordering, which makes it feel even more reassuring 👍

We took our seats at Extra Mile. There were colored pencils and drawings on the table, so you can color while waiting for your food—no chance to get bored, haha.

Pizza and pasta menu: what did we choose?
There were pizza-and-pasta sets, plus sets with two pizzas or pastas and a salad. Pizza choices included pepperoni, taco, potato, and salad pizza, while pasta options included white ragu, peanut butter, tomato, and bisque cream pasta. There were also two salads: grilled vegetables with romesco and a house salad. 🥗🍕🥗🍕🥗🍕

We ordered hot honey pepperoni pizza, bisque cream pasta, and a house salad. The house-made pickles were pleasantly mild and clean-tasting, too.

Natural light pours in through the large windows, making the restaurant bright, and the sun on the wood-toned interior makes it feel warm and comfortable. The sense of space is so nice—Extra Mile is a great place for lunch in Gwangalli.
House salad with wonderfully fresh butterhead lettuce
The house salad arrived first, and I loved the combination of butterhead lettuce and ranch dressing. The butterhead lettuce was so green and fresh, with a great texture. A delicious salad is really important at an Italian restaurant, and Extra Mile does salad well.

Hot honey pepperoni and birria taco half-and-half pizza
This was the menu item I was looking forward to most—the pizza! Since you can order half-and-half, we chose birria taco pizza and hot honey pepperoni. It looked appetizing from the start. They say they use low-temperature-aged dough, and it was nicely crisp on the outside and chewy inside when I tried it!

The hot honey pepperoni pizza gets the sweet-and-salty balance just right, pairing salty pepperoni with sweet hot honey. Its slight kick kept it from becoming too rich, making it the kind of pizza you keep reaching for.

On the taco pizza, the meat, salsa, and soft sour cream worked together better than I expected. If you enjoy Mexican food, you will definitely enjoy this!

The salty pepperoni, nutty cheese, and the sweetness and heat of hot honey made a great combination. It was a genuinely delicious pepperoni pizza unlike anything I had tried elsewhere—not a mass-produced, ready-made taste!

Rich bisque cream pasta with gamtae
Last up was the bisque cream pasta. It had an overall soft, creamy look, and the distinctive rich shellfish flavor of bisque gave it a taste a little different from ordinary cream pasta.

Bisque cream pasta is defined by the deep flavor drawn from shrimp and shellfish, and the sauce itself had a strong savory seafood richness.

If you love the deep, nutty flavor unique to shrimp and shellfish!!! 🦀🦐🦀🦐 I think this is a menu item you will be very satisfied with!

Adding the gamtae (Korean seaweed) on top brought its fragrant, lightly salty flavor, making the dish even richer. The pasta was softly cooked, and Extra Mile's own distinctive sauce made this such an enjoyable dining experience.

Overall, the restaurant atmosphere was comfortable, and I loved being able to have a leisurely lunch in Gwangalli. If you are craving pizza and pasta in Gwangalli, give Extra Mile a visit ✨️
