Aged Korean BBQ near Express Bus Terminal
Today, I want to introduce a place you absolutely need to visit when you are craving delicious beef near Express Bus Terminal. It is Ugojip, a restaurant specializing in grilled beef.

As soon as I walked in, the neat aging refrigerator set up on one side caught my eye. Just like its sign saying, “Aging to be even more delicious today,” the beef was being carefully aged, and my expectations for the meat shot right up.

The restaurant was clean, and the owner was incredibly kind, so I felt great throughout the meal. The space was comfortable and relaxed, making it a wonderful choice for a visit with people you care about or a family gathering near Express Bus Terminal.

Couple Set selection and price
That day, I ordered the generously composed 400g Couple Set for ₩49,000.

The Couple Set includes beef belly, hanger steak, rib meat, and beef brisket soybean paste stew, with a variety of cuts and a meal dish. It was the perfect value-for-money choice for two people wanting to enjoy different cuts at an approachable price.

There is a wide selection of set meals, individual dishes, sides, and alcoholic drinks.
Starting with grilled beef belly
Here comes the Couple Set!!
To get the grilling underway, we heated the grill and used the piece of beef fat that came with it to grease every corner. Then we started with the beef belly. It sizzled as soon as it hit the grill and cooked to a lovely golden brown, with a wonderfully nutty flavor and juicy bite.

A drink before the meat is essential!

Neat side dishes and a special soy sauce
I was also very pleased with the neatly presented complimentary side dishes here. There was fresh pa-muchim (seasoned scallion salad) dressed spicy and tangy, a refreshing salad to awaken the appetite, clean and cooling yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), plus myeonginamul (pickled wild garlic leaves) and other pickles that paired perfectly with the meat.

Every dish was perfectly seasoned and thoughtfully prepared, so they were truly delicious alongside the meat. For sauces, there was basic salt, wasabi, and Ugojip’s own special soy sauce.

My favorite combination was adding plenty of the thinly sliced Cheongyang chili peppers to this special soy sauce, as much as I liked, and eating it with the meat. The sharp, spicy heat of the peppers cut straight through the richness of the beef, so it never felt greasy and I could just keep eating more and more.
The beef brisket soybean paste stew included as standard in the set was also very impressive. It was packed generously with vegetables and meat, giving the broth a rich, deep flavor. Mixing rice into that savory, gently spicy soybean paste stew broth was so good it was an absolute rice thief 🫶🏻

Tender, juicy hanger steak and rib meat
After whetting our appetites with beef belly, we grilled the hanger steak, which was light yet appealingly beefy, followed by rib meat, springy in texture with an explosion of nutty umami.
Perhaps because the beef had gone through such a careful aging process, the texture was incredibly tender, and every bite released a gorgeous burst of juicy flavor throughout my mouth.

Cheers with meat too, haha. We kept eating and saying how delicious it was.

It was aged properly, so it went down so easily.

The vegetables, browned after soaking up the meat fat, had a pleasantly sweet, nutty flavor that made them perfect for alternating with the beef.

From the high-quality aged beef to the generous beef brisket soybean paste stew, neat side dishes, and thoughtful service, it was a day that left me completely satisfied in every way.

If you are looking for a generous, delicious meal near Express Bus Terminal, or planning a family gathering at a calm, comfortable spot, I strongly recommend visiting Ugojip!
