Haeundae café blueberry Danish takeaway: Low & Sweet Bakery

In short

Low & Sweet Bakery is a bakery café on Haeridan-gil in Haeundae, Busan. I took away an Americano, salt bread, and a blueberry Danish, and the Danish's crisp layers, buttery flavor, and sweet-tart blueberries stood out most. Verdict: the baking was as good as the pretty atmosphere.

Whenever I visit Busan and head to Haeridan-gil, I have so much fun looking around the cafés and bakeries. This time, I went to Low & Sweet Bakery, which I had had my eye on for ages because the atmosphere looked so pretty!!!!

An easy-to-find bakery café near Haeundae Station

You can find it as soon as you head from Haeundae Station toward Haeridan-gil. Rather than being a café just for coffee, it is a bakery café selling all kinds of baked treats and pastries, including croissants, salt bread, and financiers!!!

The exterior itself is pure Haeridan-gil vibes. Even from a distance, the white exterior wall and black awning stood out, so it was easier to find than I expected. With the Low & Sweet lettering, little tables and chairs, and green plants all together, it felt like I had stepped into a small bakery on a foreign side street for a moment, even though I was in Busan.

It is not decorated in an over-the-top way; the white base with little touches of vintage detail makes it photograph beautifully too. On a nice day, it would be lovely to sit outside with a coffee. There is seating not only out front but at the back as well (more on that below, with photos too!!).

A cozy interior and pastry display

The shop is compact, but it is fun to look around. It is not a huge café with tons of space; instead, the wood tones, vintage furniture, and little accessories create a cozy feel, a bit like a small neighborhood café in Europe or New York.

And as you would expect from a bakery café, the area with the breads and desserts is what catches your eye first. Croissants and salt bread, then canelés, financiers, egg tarts, and cookies are all lined up, looking so good that you go in planning to buy just one thing and somehow pick up another one after another.

Blueberry Danish and salt bread to go

The neat bakery display and vintage interior suited each other so well. I did not eat at the shop that day, and instead took away an Americano, salt bread, and a blueberry Danish. The blueberry Danish was a type of pastry topped with blueberries, and the combination with the cream was honestly insane...... It is seriously delicious, so please do try it.

It was so good that it deserved a solo photo too. I need to buy it again later...

The distinctive layers of the pastry were still intact, making the outside wonderfully crisp, while the buttery flavor came through more with every bite. Then the sweet-tart taste of the blueberries joins in, and the harmony is just the best.

They also have set times when breads come out. Check this photo and go when the bread you want is coming out, and you can have it warm and freshly baked.

A sip of coffee followed by a bite of pastry was such a great combination. Honestly, I chose it without huge expectations, but it was the menu item I remembered most from everything I bought that day. If they have something similar next time, I will pick it again.

The salt bread was slightly springy on the outside and soft inside, so it was nutty and savory even on its own—the kind of flavor that keeps calling you back. And you know that salt bread with an iced Americano is just game over, right?

I thought Low & Sweet was known simply for its pretty interior, but after eating there myself, I will remember it even more because the baked goods were tastier than I expected.

A good place for coffee and pastries together

If you are looking for a café on Haeridan-gil, especially if you love coffee and pastries together, I think it would be worth stopping by. The atmosphere is completely good too. Next time, instead of takeaway, I want to sit outside on a nice day with coffee and try the other bakery items one by one.
