Parking and baby-friendly lunch at Seongsu pasta spot Brivite Seongsu

I finally made it across the river to Seongsu-dong after a long while. Before I had my baby, I used to come here all the time for coffee or a drink in the evening. But lately Seongsu has parking issues and a lot of tight, cramped spots, so getting around with a baby has been trickier than I expected. I hadn't been in a while because of that.

Still, Seongsu-dong has so many great restaurants and pretty spots, so I told myself: enough with always going to Namyangju, today is a Seongsu day! Haha. My husband picked pasta for today's menu, so we went to Brivite, a well-known pasta spot in Seongsu.

Where to park at Brivite Seongsu

Unfortunately, Brivite Seongsu doesn't have its own parking. So my husband dropped me and the baby off first, then used the Modu Parking app to park in a nearby building's basement lot. Going out to eat with a baby takes actual strategy, lol. But I'd call this mission accomplished (?)

Brivite Seongsu's interior and atmosphere

The moment I walked in, my mood lifted — from the entrance to the inside, Brivite has really pretty European-style interior. The color palette especially was so Pinterest-worthy. I'd love to do our own home in this kind of vintage color scheme, but... it's just too intimidating, haha. Something about eating in a pretty place just puts you in a good mood, you know?

With an open kitchen, the space never felt cramped, and all the staff were kind. Ringing a bell to order is a fun little detail too — the sound was so clear I kind of wanted to take it home with me (thief?? haha). Even though it was a little past lunchtime, there were quite a few Japanese tourists there. Apparently it's featured on Instagram as a spot Japanese visitors love — huh, interesting. I assumed a Seongsu-dong favorite like this would mostly draw Koreans, but it seems foreign visitors stop by too. I guess it's because both the restaurant and the food are so photogenic, lol. Side note: I liked one Japanese guest's outfit, lol.

Rabbit Hop Tomato Rigatoni: why it works with a child

The first dish was a tomato pasta. But not just any tomato pasta — it's a hopping bunny pasta! 🐰

They use mozzarella cheese to shape a little rabbit decoration, and it was surprisingly cute, lol. Coming with a kid made this kind of small detail feel even better. It was also a bit surprising to find squid in the pasta. It wasn't just cute — it tasted great too. The tomato pasta's signature tangy flavor combined nicely with the squid's texture, and we really enjoyed it.

The mushroom soup at Brivite Seongsu

The mushroom soup we had along the way was so good too, keeping the mushroom's natural flavor front and center. It had that distinctive mushroom savoriness with just the right seasoning — I wanted to take it home with me. My husband and I basically raced each other to finish it.

Most recommended dish: salmon steak pasta

And now for the dish I most want to recommend today — Brivite's salmon steak pasta. My husband kept talking about how good it was even after we got home. The salmon portion was quite generous too, easily on par with what you'd get at a dedicated salmon restaurant.

The salmon was cooked just right — moist inside, nicely browned outside. It comes paired with tomato pasta alongside the salmon steak, and the combination of well-cooked salmon with tasty tomato pasta really works!

Eating out in Seongsu-dong with a baby: would you return to Brivite Seongsu?

After a long time away, I made it out to Seongsu-dong and enjoyed a really delicious pasta meal. I do think a proper Seongsu outing with the baby might have to wait until she's walking, but still — eating great pasta in such a pretty space made me feel like I'd finally rediscovered a real Seongsu-dong gem. Not just cute, but actually delicious too, lol.

This would be a great spot for a blind date or a couple's outing in Seongsu, and it's great for photos too — both the restaurant and the food are so pretty, you'll want to post it all over your feed!
