Mushroom slice, salad and hot wings in Seongsu: Pizza Slice Seoul

Finding somewhere to eat alone in Seongsu can be surprisingly tricky. This time I went to Pizza Slice Seoul, where you can order pizza by the slice instead of by the whole pie.

I visited alone that day, and to cut to the chase: the space itself is spacious with a good variety of seating options, which made it pretty comfortable for solo dining in Seongsu.

Is the Seongsu basement room comfortable for eating alone?

The first thing I thought as soon as I walked into Pizza Slice Seoul was, this place is actually huge! It was clean and stylishly decorated overall, giving off exactly that Seongsu vibe.

The seating wasn't just one style but came in several forms, and the tables were spaced generously apart, so sitting alone didn't feel awkward at all. There were quite a few foreign customers when I visited, too. From the store's atmosphere to the menu lineup, there was definitely an exotic feel — even smack in the middle of Seongsu, it felt a bit like stepping into a pizzeria abroad.

And there's actually a sink set up inside the store, which made it super convenient to wash my hands before digging into the pizza.

What I ordered at Pizza Slice Seoul and what it cost

I ordered three things in total: a mushroom slice for ₩7,400, a salad for ₩4,000, and buffalo wings HOT for ₩6,000.

Since you can order by the slice instead of a whole pizza, it's great for a solo visit. When you're craving pizza alone in Seongsu, a whole pie can feel like a lot, but here you just pick the slice you want — I really liked that about this place.

Mushroom slice, 7,400 won

First up, the mushroom slice I picked as my main. It came out as a big, generous piece, so even as a single slice it had quite a presence.

Rather than the familiar sweet, savory taste of Korean-style pizza, it leaned closer to a salty, flavor-forward American-style pizza.

So this part will really come down to personal taste. If you usually like your pizza salty and bold-flavored, you'll probably love this.

Salad, 4,000 won, and buffalo wings HOT, 6,000 won

I also ordered a salad (₩4,000) and buffalo wings HOT (₩6,000) to have alongside the pizza.

The salad had a refreshing sauce and a nice cheese flavor on top, making it a good thing to pair with bites of pizza in between.

The buffalo wings HOT were also clearly tangy, salty, and spicy.

All three dishes had a distinctly strong, tangy seasoning overall, so if you like bold American-style flavors, this should suit you well.

Is Pizza Slice Seoul worth it for solo dining in Seongsu?

Personally, what I liked most was how easy the layout made it to visit alone. Pizza Slice Seoul is spacious with varied seating, so there was no self-conscious vibe about being alone at all.

Above all, since it's a slice-pizza specialist, it was also great for ordering just what you want and eating quickly on your own. Having gone alone, if you're looking for a solo pizza place in Seongsu, this spot is definitely convenient in terms of both space and how you order.

Overall the flavors are heavily seasoned with a tangy-salty edge, so there might be some love-it-or-hate-it reaction depending on personal taste. To me it felt more exotic than the familiar pizza taste. If you're looking for somewhere in Seongsu that's easy to visit alone and lets you enjoy slice pizza, give this one a look :)
