Hongdae soufflé café where peach boxes keep arriving: Think Fruit
In short
Think Fruit is a whole-fruit soufflé dessert café in an alley off Wausan-ro near Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. One peach soufflé at Think Fruit comes with fresh peach, yellow peach in Greek yogurt and Häagen-Dazs, and ordering a salted cream coffee and an Americano side by side showed the Americano is the better match for the soufflé. Seeing boxes of peaches carried into the shop all day made the price, which felt high at first, easy to accept.

Today I went to Think Fruit in Hongdae to try the peach soufflé I'd been dying to eat!! The visuals looked insane even just in photos!! There are a lot of peach desserts around these days, but seeing a soufflé piled high with peach made me have to try it, haha.

Boxes of peaches arriving at Think Fruit in Hongdae
If you're looking for fresh fruit desserts in Hongdae! I visited Think Fruit and peaches happened to be getting delivered right then!! Watching box after box of peaches come in made me realize just how much peach they actually go through.
With fruit desserts, the condition of the fruit basically determines the whole taste, right? Especially with something like peach that has a clear in-season flavor and aroma, freshness matters a lot. Seeing the peaches arrive in person made me even more excited for the peach soufflé I'd ordered today, haha. Being able to eat desserts made with fresh fruit — that seems like one of Think Fruit's charms.

Think Fruit's peach soufflé: how it looks on the plate
Finally, the peach soufflé arrived! First off, it passed the visual test~! A fluffy-looking soufflé with peach piled on top — I couldn't not take pictures, haha.
Honestly, with desserts that look pretty, sometimes the photo moment is the peak and the actual taste is just so-so, right? But Think Fruit's peach soufflé... the soufflé itself was actually delicious!! That's the most important part, haha.

Soft soufflé with a rich, nutty egg flavor
The very first bite of Think Fruit's soufflé — what hits you immediately is how soft the texture is! That signature fluffy, tender feel of a soufflé was fully there. And personally, what I liked was that you could really taste the nutty flavor of egg!
Instead of the cream or the fruit's sweetness burying the soufflé's flavor, the soufflé itself tasted quite good on its own. The cream was tasty too, but I wanted to give extra points specifically for the soufflé itself being delicious. Even a plain bite of just soufflé was nutty and soft, so I kept reaching for more.

Not too sweet, which made it even better
And here's the part I especially liked! Think Fruit's peach soufflé isn't overly sweet overall. When you pile soufflé, cream, peach, and ice cream all together, the first few bites can be great but it can get sickly sweet toward the end, right? But it wasn't as intense as I expected.
So I could actually taste the peach and the soufflé separately and properly. Instead of a dessert that pushes sweetness at you, it felt like you could enjoy the ingredients' own flavors! I liked that the fresh taste of the peach, the soft soufflé, and the nutty egg flavor each came through on their own. Thanks to that, even with a fairly generous portion, I didn't get sick of it and finished it happily to the end~!

Yellow peach with Greek yogurt, the combo I'd only seen on YouTube
There was another delicious thing that came with Think Fruit's peach soufflé. It was the yellow peach with Greek yogurt! This is the item I'd seen so many times on YouTube, haha. Every time I watched a video of it I thought I wanted to try it — and here I was actually eating it myself!!
The sweetness of the peach combined with the thick, refreshing Greek yogurt made a really great flavor combo. Eating some soufflé, then a bite of yellow peach~~ then back to the soufflé~~ even though I only ordered one menu item, there was fun in enjoying a variety of things.
Häagen-Dazs ice cream to cool the soufflé down
On top of that, there was Häagen-Dazs ice cream too!! Warm, fluffy soufflé and cold ice cream really do go well together~! It's delicious with just the soufflé, delicious with the cream, delicious with the peach... and this time, a bite with a little ice cream on top!
Changing up the temperature and texture let me enjoy it as yet another flavor. I only ordered one peach soufflé, but the variety in the set made eating it more fun than I expected~!
Is the peach soufflé price at Think Fruit worth it?
Honestly, when ordering I did think, "the soufflé's a little pricey, huh?" But once I actually got it and ate it, my mind changed. From fresh peach to soufflé, cream, yellow peach with Greek yogurt, and Häagen-Dazs all together — and above all, the main event, the soufflé itself, was delicious!!
Between the portion size and the overall composition, after eating I didn't feel like it was a waste — I thought, "that was a good meal!" I was plenty satisfied~!

Salted cream coffee or Americano: which pairs better with soufflé?
At Think Fruit I ordered two drinks: salted cream coffee and Americano. First, the salted cream coffee had a delicious cream on top. There's fun in drinking the soft cream together with the coffee, so if you like cream coffee, it's worth ordering alongside your dessert. If you want to eat dessert and also enjoy the coffee itself as something sweet — go with the salted cream coffee!
But... if you asked me to pick just one drink that goes best with the peach soufflé, I'd say Americano!!
Why the Americano won for this peach soufflé
Taking a bite of the peach soufflé and then a sip of Americano... yep, they really are a perfect pair, haha. The soufflé isn't super sweet, but between the cream, peach, and ice cream, a clean coffee has a way of resetting your palate in between bites. And then another bite of soufflé!! Personally, if you want to properly enjoy the dessert, I'd recommend ordering it with an Americano~!

Worth a trip to Hongdae if you love peaches
This visit to Think Fruit in Hongdae was purely for the peach soufflé, and it ended up being more satisfying than I expected. I went initially because of the visuals, but after eating it, what I liked most was that the soufflé itself actually tasted great.
The soft, fluffy texture with a proper nutty egg flavor, plus fresh peach and cream that together weren't overly sweet, made it easy to eat to the last bite without feeling heavy. On top of that, yellow peach with Greek yogurt and Häagen-Dazs!! It wasn't a dessert that only cared about looking good in photos — the taste and composition were satisfying too.
If you're looking for something different in Hongdae, or hunting for a peach dessert or a great soufflé spot, give Think Fruit a try~! Especially if you like peaches, it's worth trying while they're in season. I think I'll be curious enough to visit again whenever they bring out a menu made with a different fruit, haha.
