Hongdae café with crisp and juicy peach in one soufflé: Think Fruit

In short

Think Fruit is a seasonal fruit soufflé dessert café in an alley off Wausan-ro near Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. On a weekday afternoon, two friends ordered the peach soufflé with an Americano and a caffè latte, and the peach came in two versions on one plate: crisp peach (ttakbok) for crunch and juicy peach (mulbok) with soft flesh wrapped around cream cheese. Think Fruit is the Hongdae soufflé café where friends with opposite peach preferences have nothing to argue about.

Think Fruit's signature peach soufflé

There was a day I was craving something sweet and cozy at the same time, so a friend and I headed out to a spot that's been trending lately for its pretty vibe and delicious desserts — the Hongdae dessert café "Think Fruit". I'd heard their fluffy, sweet soufflé was famous, so I went in with high expectations.

Where is Think Fruit, how to get there, and is there parking?

Think Fruit is a Hongdae dessert café located at 14-12 Wausan-ro 29-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 1st floor. It's about a 10-minute walk from Hongik University Station (Line 2), or 5 minutes from the Gyeongui-Jungang Line.

We walked over from Hongik Univ. Station, and chatting the whole way, we arrived before we knew it. Just a heads up — there's no parking here, so you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot.

Just seeing the photos of soufflé desserts displayed outside made my mouth water. Even on a weekday afternoon, watching people through the window, I thought — okay, we've come to the right dessert café!

Inside Think Fruit: daylight through floor-to-ceiling windows

The inside of Think Fruit is built so sunlight pours in through a wide, floor-to-ceiling window. We sat further inside, and just from the space itself, I could tell why this Hongdae dessert café draws so many people.

Warm sunlight streamed in through the big window view and filled the space with a cozy glow — just sitting there felt healing. From the moment we walked in until we left, the staff greeted us kindly and warmly, and it felt like we were being genuinely well taken care of the whole time.

Think Fruit's menu! Since soufflé is their specialty, they highlight seasonal fruits, and this time our pick was the peach soufflé! We also ordered an Americano and a caffè latte to go with it lightly. By the way — for Hongdae, the coffee prices are surprisingly reasonable.

Since Think Fruit is a dessert café that makes soufflés with in-season fruit, we could see peaches and figs ripening in the display window. Seeing all those peaches piled up, I thought — yep, we found a great café.

A 30-minute soufflé wait at Think Fruit: coffee comes first

Think Fruit's soufflé starts cooking the moment you order, so it takes about 30 minutes. They kindly asked if we wanted our drinks first — so we got our coffee before the soufflé.

Being able to enjoy this kind of bright, cozy atmosphere with a cup of coffee right in the middle of loud, crowded Hongdae felt really nice. The space itself was so comfortable, it was perfect for chatting.

Two cups of Americano and caffè latte at Think Fruit

Think Fruit's Americano had a clean finish without sharp acidity, which I really liked. The latte was just as good — the nuttiness of the milk and the body of the espresso blended smoothly, and it made me even more excited for the Hongdae soufflé to come.

Since this is mainly a dessert café, I didn't expect much from the coffee, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Think Fruit's peach soufflé: crisp and juicy peach on one plate

Think Fruit's peach soufflé comes topped with both crisp peach (ttakbok) and juicy peach (mulbok) versions. Finally, the highlight of the visit landed on our table.

The moment it hit the table, the sweet, fragrant scent of peach mixed with freshly baked fluffy egg and butter wafted up, and my mouth watered instantly.

The visual alone looked soft and fluffy — a soufflé sheet topped neatly with seasonal peach.

Crisp peach and juicy peach together on the soufflé

Here's the point where I thought — okay, the owner definitely knows flavor. They put both crisp peach and juicy peach on top! No fighting between team-crisp and team-juicy, and you get to enjoy both textures at once — I was so happy about that.

Fresh cream served alongside the soufflé

The crisp peach still had that crunchy bite, so I dipped it generously into the light, house-made fresh cream and ate it together with the fluffy soufflé sheet in one bite. I got why so many people come here raving about the Hongdae soufflé — I understood from the very first bite.

The soft soufflé melted in my mouth like cotton candy, the crisp peach crunched through, and sweet fresh cream wrapped around it all softly after — it was seriously so good, I could've cried.

The juicy peach had a secret hidden inside its soft, sweet flesh — soft cream cheese tucked right in! The moment it hit my mouth, the sweet juice of the peach and the thick, tangy-sweet cream cheese melted together, and it was genuinely impressive. It wasn't just sweet — the richness of the cream cheese balanced it out, so it never got cloying and I kept wanting more.

Verdict: would I come back to Think Fruit?

Before I knew it, the plate of Think Fruit's peach soufflé was completely empty. I lost count of how many times I said "wow, this is really good" while eating.

An emptied plate after the peach soufflé

If you've been looking for a Hongdae dessert café with a great atmosphere, or want to taste a proper Hongdae soufflé that melts in your mouth, Think Fruit is a must-visit. It was a day I got to enjoy it once with my eyes, melt twice in the sunlight, and feel happy a third time with peach scent filling my mouth. Next time, I want to come back when a different season's soufflé menu is out and check off the other flavors too :)
