Blue Ribbon coffee shop in Seongsu for a signature latte: Iridescent

What kind of coffee shop is Iridescent on Seoulsup 4-gil in Seongsu?

I was just walking around Seongsu when I stopped in my tracks — this café with black tones mixed with green plants caught my eye. Iridescent! It even had a terrace, so I thought, ooh, the vibe here looks good... and walked right in haha

Turns out it's also listed in the 2026 Blue Ribbon guide! I got pulled in by the atmosphere but the coffee was delicious too, so I'm writing this up as a Seongsu café recommendation.

Iridescent menu and prices

I ordered an americano for ₩5,000 and the signature Iridescent latte for ₩6,000!

Next to the menu board, they had a special blend and a decaf bean set out so you could smell them before choosing. Nice touch being able to compare the scents haha

I saw s'more brookies, pound cake, and croissants in the dessert case. I only had coffee this time and didn't try them, but if you want dessert alongside your drink, it's worth a look! Actually, the case was empty that day because... they'd knocked all the desserts over while moving them, oops. When I was debating what to get, the owner came right over to my table to explain — you could really tell how much care they put into both the desserts and the coffee!

Terrace or indoor seat at Iridescent: where should you sit?

Instead of the terrace, I sat indoors at a table with a view outside. The people chatting on the terrace looked so relaxed... I thought, next time I have to sit there too haha

Inside there was a big speaker too, and the hip music matched the space really well. A nice spot to rest with a coffee after walking around and shopping in Seongsu!

The coffee came out not long after I ordered haha. That crema is killer 💖 Now that I'm older... I just can't go to bad cafés anymore, nope nope~~

The collaboration coupon that changes every month

Huh, what's this... some kind of coupon?? Apparently the collab coupon changes every month!!

They also gave us a 10% discount coupon for Jansport haha. Looked handy for shopping around Seoul Forest (but we'd already done our running shoe shopping at Good Runner... so, pass!!)

How does the signature Iridescent latte taste?

First I tried the Iridescent latte! The first sip wasn't too sweet — you could taste the coffee's bitterness along with the milk. They said it's a base made by mixing several kinds of milk, soy milk, oat latte, etc., with espresso added...

But the more I drank, the sweeter the milky coffee flavor seemed to get?! There was a sweetness reminiscent of condensed milk, so it satisfied both my caffeine craving and a not-too-sweet sweetness at the same time! Lately I can't even finish a Mega Coffee choco frappe anymore... just the right amount of sweet is the way to go~~~

Rather than tasting the same from start to finish, it was fun watching the flavor shift little by little! A cup that made choosing the signature worth it ♥ Honestly, my boyfriend (Choco) ordered it... and I kept stealing sips lol (sorry~)

The americano at Iridescent: nutty, not bitter

That day I really needed an americano transfusion, so I ordered one lol. Not bitter at all, just nutty — perfect for a caffeine refill! haha

The crema was still alive too, so it was delicious! Ahh~~~ this place really knows coffee ~~~ For anyone who can't stand mediocre café coffee anymore... if you spot this place while walking around Seongsu, come on in ♥

Drawn in by the vibe, but won over by the coffee too — that's Iridescent.

The sweetness that built up sip by sip in the latte, and the nuttiness of the americano — both stayed with me. If I'm recommending Seongsu cafés, this one goes on the list too haha. Next time I'll have to try the terrace seats ♥ See you again, Seongsu~~~
