Bucheon duck restaurant with boneless duck stew: Keunsawi Ori Jip
In short
Keunsawi Ori Jip is a duck set-meal restaurant on Yeondong-ro in Sosa-gu, Bucheon. The signature Keunsawi Eumteum Set costs 23,900 won and arrives in order: a taste of perilla-seed chicken, cypress-steamed duck (pyeonbaek-jjim), spicy duck stew (duck-dori-tang), hot pot add-ins and three-color fried rice, with unlimited gondre and shiitake mushroom rice from the self-serve bar. Because the duck stew is made with sliced fresh duck and no bones, it was especially easy for older parents to eat.

Parking and first impressions at Keunsawi Ori Jip in Sosa-gu, Bucheon
Keunsawi Ori Jip is a duck restaurant on the ground floor at 57-10 Yeondong-ro, Sosa-gu, Bucheon. I was on the hunt for duck dishes in Bucheon and this time landed at Keunsawi Ori Jip. There's a big parking lot right in front, so it was easy to visit by car.

The exterior already looked fairly spacious, and once inside, the interior was clean with plenty of room between seats — it seemed like a good spot for a family meal or for a group.

What comes in the 23,900 won Keunsawi Eumteum Set
We ordered the [Signature] Keunsawi Eumteum Set for ₩23,900. It was great because it let us try so much in one meal — duck-dori-tang (duck hot pot), duck cheonggak-jjim (duck steamed in hinoki wood), a perilla chicken starter, vegetable and rice cake hot pot add-ins, and even three-color fried rice.

Unlimited gondre and shiitake mushroom rice at the self-serve bar
One thing that stood out here: the gondre (dried mountain greens) shiitake mushroom rice is unlimited refills, so anyone who really loves rice will be satisfied.

You can help yourself at the self-serve bar. With gondre and shiitake mixed in, it has more flavor than plain white rice, and it was tasty enough that I went back for seconds a few times.

The interior is clean, and sauces and kimchi are ready at the self-serve bar.

The order to eat the Keunsawi Ori Jip set in
The Keunsawi Eumteum Set doesn't arrive all at once — you're meant to enjoy it in sequence. First, while waiting for the cheonggak-jjim, a small perilla chicken starter comes out.

It's a chicken dish with that distinct nutty perilla flavor, a nice light bite to whet the appetite. Then came the duck cheonggak-jjim I'd been waiting for. Being hinoki-steamed, it was light yet still let the duck's rich flavor come through.

Once you finish the cheonggak-jjim, you move on to the duck-dori-tang simmering underneath.

Why Keunsawi Ori Jip's duck stew has no bones
On to the duck-dori-tang, hearty as ever. One thing worth noting: if you're picturing a typical duck-dori-tang made with bone-in raw duck, this one's a bit different. Keunsawi Ori Jip uses sliced raw duck, more like duck roast.

So there was no hassle of picking meat off bones — we could just eat comfortably. The seasoning was pretty tasty too, and it paired well with the gondre rice; adding the rice cake and vegetable hot pot add-ins made it feel more and more generous. Personally, I really liked the seasoning on the duck-dori-tang.

Adding the vegetable add-ins made for a generous bowl! And that's exactly why my parents were so pleased!

Finishing with three-color fried rice
And the finishing touch, as always, is fried rice. Finishing off with three-color fried rice, cooked in the leftover sauce —

— it felt like a proper meal from start to finish. Duck dishes plus a hearty rice finish, made me think this would be great for a family outing.

They even had juice ready for dessert at the end, which made me think this is a thoughtful place. You know how you can't resist a mix coffee after a meal? Haha.
Who is Keunsawi Ori Jip a good fit for?
Keunsawi Ori Jip seems like a great fit for anyone who wants to try a variety of dishes — cheonggak-jjim, duck-dori-tang, fried rice — rather than just one duck dish. Above all, I loved that the gondre shiitake rice is unlimited refills, so you get to eat well on the rice side too.
With a large parking lot and a clean interior, it also seemed like a good spot for family gatherings or a meal with several people. At ₩23,900 for duck cheonggak-jjim, duck-dori-tang, perilla chicken, hot pot add-ins, and fried rice all in one set, it was a satisfying visit. If you're looking for duck dishes in Bucheon, give Keunsawi Ori Jip a try :)
