People & Peoples is located in Sangdong, Bucheon. It's a 3-minute walk from Sangdong Station and is famous for its pastry pizza — I was so satisfied I want everyone to go try it 🍕 It's a great bar for a beer, but the pastry pizza is so good that plenty of customers order takeout too. Because of that, you could also save it as a pizza spot in Bucheon :)

There are plenty of terrace seats right in front of the shop, so on a cool evening it'd be nice to sit outside.

Walking in, the interior gave off this nostalgic old-school hof (Korean pub) vibe...! So at first I was half-skeptical, but it turned out to be a real pizza gem 😎 They also have group tables, so I'd recommend it for company dinners or gatherings, and it's also good for a casual beer with friends — everyone seemed to feel right at home. If you're looking for a good pizza-and-beer spot in Sangdong, Bucheon, this is it. Great for a casual beer.

At People & Peoples, the pastry pizza and lasagna are the signature items, and every table around me seemed to order pizza without fail.

Besides lasagna and pizza, People & Peoples has a wide range of other dishes, so there's plenty of choice. Being a bar, they also had a wide variety of drinks — highballs, beer, soju, and more. For reference, they also sell non-alcoholic beer.

I went with the half-and-half ham cheese pizza! It's a combo of ham cheese pastry pizza and garlic ham pastry pizza — I really, really recommend this one.

A basic side snack of puffed macaroni came out first.

I ordered the Hanmaek cream draft beer and Cass Zero, and the Hanmaek cream draft beer was seriously the best.

The ham cheese pastry pizza has arrived! It comes with pickles and a house-made salsa criolla sauce, and this salsa criolla sauce is the real kicker here (important).

And I was immediately impressed by the generous amount of toppings and the melting cheese... you could really tell they didn't skimp on ingredients. The toppings were so hearty that when you lift a slice, it practically droops from the weight!

Honestly... it's way tastier than I expected. The pastry dough was really crispy, and unlike a regular pizza dough's heavy style, it had a light, flaky, crispy bite in layers, so I could enjoy it all the way to the edge. The toppings all worked well together overall, and the garlic topping with the ham-and-cheese combo was a solidly tasty style. The ham was piled on in nice big chunks too, giving it a great chewy bite.

Why the house-made salsa criolla sauce is the kick

And the real kicker here was truly the house-made salsa criolla sauce. The pizza is delicious on its own, but adding the house chili sauce transforms it completely. It's subtly spicy, and just a little drizzle on top of the pizza really cuts through the richness, making it impossible to stop reaching for more. This combo is the kind that has the beer going down smoothly. Personally, while the pastry dough at People & Peoples is tasty, it's the house chili sauce that made it more memorable for me!
