Gijang outlet SOUTH building seafood tomato pasta dinner: Bueokgan

In short

Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets is a Western restaurant in Jangan-eup, Gijang, Busan, set just to the left of the KIDS BLOSSOM entrance in the outlet's SOUTH building. On a slightly late weekday evening there was no wait, and the table came with a napa cabbage Caesar salad (16,000 won), seafood tomato pasta (19,000 won) and kung pao chicken pilaf (22,000 won). With wide gaps between tables and baby chairs on hand, Bueokgan is an easy family dinner right after outlet shopping.

Today was one of those days I wanted a proper Western meal in a nice atmosphere — so I combined shopping with good food at Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets, a Gijang Western food spot inside the outlet mall ✨ Since it's right inside the outlet, parking is just the big outlet parking lot, and the location made it super easy to drop by naturally while shopping. Accessibility was honestly the best part.

Where is Bueokgan in the outlet SOUTH building, and was there a weekday evening wait?

This Gijang Western food spot, Bueokgan's outlet branch, is located inside Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets, just to the left of the SOUTH building's KIDS BLOSSOM entrance. The clean, stylish exterior stands out even from a distance, so even on a first visit I found it without getting lost.

I went on a slightly late weekday evening, and since I dodged the busy hours, I got seated with no wait at all! Great for a relaxed dinner after finishing shopping, or a hearty Gijang lunch spot — Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets, right on point.

Inside Bueokgan: seating, table spacing and baby chairs

The first thing I thought walking in the door was, "this place is really, really spacious." Table spacing was generous too, so I could eat comfortably without worrying about the next table, and the relaxed space made conversation easy. Works well as a date spot, or for family meals and gatherings — a Busan Western restaurant that fits all kinds of occasions!

The soft lighting and stylish interior felt like a Nordic living room — the atmosphere was so good it was hard to believe I was inside an outlet mall.

They also have baby chairs, which made it especially convenient for a family to shop together and then eat together 🤍

Here's the menu at the Bueokgan outlet branch. Ordering is done via the tablet on the table, and the Western food lineup is solid — pasta, risotto, pilaf as main dishes, plus salads, steaks, pizzas as sides and mains.

First to arrive: the napa cabbage Caesar salad! The napa cabbage comes out in big chunks, looking almost like a cabbage steak.

They give you scissors and tongs so you can cut it into bite-sized pieces like this to eat.

The napa cabbage Caesar salad at Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets, this Gijang Western food spot, was genuinely delicious to the point of "can cabbage really taste this good?" !!! The crunchy texture of the napa cabbage stayed alive, and the rich, savory Caesar dressing clung to every single leaf, boosting the umami hard. It's a vegetable, but nothing bland about it — actually addictive, kept reaching for more. Healthy and delicious, this menu really caught both rabbits 💛

Right after, the pasta and pilaf arrived ..🤤

Bueokgan's seafood tomato pasta had seafood piled generously on top of a bright red tomato sauce — the visual alone was mouthwatering.

The seafood tomato pasta is on the spicy side, but that spiciness cuts right through any heaviness, so I kept eating without getting tired of it — if anything, it kept whetting my appetite. Best of all, the mussels, shrimp, and clams packed inside were so generous that every bite came up with plump seafood, and the sauce was deeply infused with ocean umami. The tomato sauce was tangy with real depth, the noodles were cooked al dente with a nice chew, and combined with the spicy sauce it was truly a perfect match 🧡 The sauce was spicy yet savory, almost soup-like — I bet it would be amazing dipped with bread!

Kung pao chicken pilaf, 22,000 won

Last up, the kung pao chicken pilaf! The visual alone was incredible. A big whole chicken leg sitting on top of umami-packed fried rice — I literally went wow the second I saw it 🙌🏻

The kung pao chicken pilaf is fried rice made with kung pao sauce, topped with oven-roasted chicken. The chicken itself stood out visually — a whole thick leg placed on top — first surprise at the sheer size, second surprise at how tender the meat looked even just by sight.

Oven-roasted so the outside was nicely browned and the inside was moist and tender — genuinely, really delicious 👍🏻

Kung pao sauce fried rice with chicken meat

The pilaf stir-fried in kung pao sauce was already full of umami on its own — total rice thief — and eating it together with the tender chicken pulled apart made it even more insanely good. Salty, savory fried rice and tender chicken meat blending together in your mouth, a combo that makes a whole bowl disappear in no time. A dish that nails both looks and taste — if you visit Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets, this Gijang Western food spot, definitely give it a try!!
