Hi, I'm Crimami. We'd already had a meal on Yeongjong Island with my kid and were wondering where to go next, so we stopped by a nearby café to rest for a bit. This time we visited Pink Wall Cafe.

Since we'd already eaten, we were pretty full and couldn't try a lot of the bread, but the atmosphere was nice and the garden space was spacious, so it was a good spot to spend a little time with my kid. True to its name, Pink Wall Cafe felt like a place with personality in every corner. There are plenty of pretty cafés these days, but rather than the usual style, this one felt like the space itself had been designed as a sight to see.

There was fun in just looking around inside, and photo spots everywhere, so it made me want to browse slowly rather than just grab a drink and leave. Above all, the space felt open rather than cramped, which made it comfortable for a family visit.

How big is the garden at Pink Wall Cafe?

What I personally liked was the garden at Pink Wall Cafe. Beyond the indoor space, there's a fairly large garden outside, which looked like a great place to spend time outdoors when the weather's nice.

When you go to a café with a kid, they can have a hard time sitting still for long, so having an outside space to step out to now and then is really nice. During our visit, we walked around the garden with our kid, spending time almost like taking a stroll. Once the weather cools down, sipping coffee at the outdoor seats sounds like a nice, relaxed way to spend time.

We visited as a party of three — my husband, my second-grader, and me. But since we'd already eaten before coming to the café, we couldn't manage much bread.

So that day we kept it simple with one chocolate cake and one ham cheese bagel. It would have been nice to try a few different bagels from the start, but being full, we just picked these two to taste.

Of everything we had that day, the chocolate cake at Pink Wall Cafe stuck with me the most. Chocolate cake can easily end up too sweet or too dry, but the one I tried had a texture I really liked — soft.

We also ordered a ham cheese bagel. When you go around to different bagel shops and bakery cafés, the texture of the bagel varies a lot — the one at Pink Wall Cafe felt like it had been baked in-house.

The outside was appropriately chewy and the inside was plain and clean-tasting, which paired well with the ham and cheese. Having ham and cheese in it made it much more filling than a plain bagel, so it could work well as a simple meal or brunch. It was nice that my kid could eat it comfortably too, since it had ham and cheese in it.

Is Pink Wall Cafe a good café to visit with a child?

This time we visited with my husband and second-grader, and Pink Wall Cafe had a pretty family-friendly atmosphere. The interior is on the spacious side and there's plenty to look at, so it didn't feel cramped with a kid along — and above all, having the garden was great.

When choosing a café to visit with a kid, I look not just for good desserts but also for a space where my kid can look around and move for a bit. On that front, Pink Wall Cafe was good in terms of the feel and scale of the space.

Pink Wall Cafe was a good, atmospheric café for anyone looking for somewhere to go after a meal near Eulwangri on Yeongjong Island. Especially with the distinctive interior and the large garden, it's a place where you enjoy the space itself rather than just grabbing coffee and bread and leaving. If you're visiting with a kid like we did, walking through the garden is a nice way to spend time too.

We'd already eaten that day so we only had a simple chocolate cake and ham cheese bagel, but next time I'd like to visit on an empty stomach and try a variety of bagels one by one. The bagels especially felt house-baked, so I got curious about the other kinds. (They seemed to have more bagel varieties than most places.)
