Reptile shop in Seohae, Incheon: birthday gecko pick, Crerism

It was my son's birthday, so I wanted to get him something special — we went to reptile shop Crerism Incheon Cheongna Branch. 🎂❤️

He really loves bugs and reptiles, so I figured that instead of a toy, a little lizard for his birthday would make him happy.

I didn't set out looking for an expensive lizard from the start. Honestly, I went in thinking, surely a small lizard would run around ₩50,000? 😂

But to cut to the result... expected ₩50,000 → ended up with a ₩200,000 axanthic 🤣 Birthdays are scary. Lol.

If you park in the underground lot, head outside from the 2nd floor

We parked in the underground lot and took the elevator up to the 2nd floor. But right when we got off, we saw a hospital and a space that led outside, and I thought for a second, "Wait, is this even the right place?" 😅 First-timers might get a little confused like I did.

Don't keep looking near the hospital — head outside! Once you're outside, you'll find an outdoor-style shopping area, and as you walk along you'll spot the CRERISM sign.

👉 Underground parking → elevator to 2nd floor → don't panic if you see a hospital, just head outside! Remember that and it'll be much easier to find. 👍

Surprisingly clean inside for a reptile shop

The entrance itself was already fun.

The door handle was shaped like a lizard, which immediately grabbed my son's attention. 😆

Once inside, it was a bit different from what I imagined a reptile shop would feel like. It was bright, clean overall, and the animals were neatly displayed, so it was easy to browse slowly with my son.

Beyond crested geckos, there were all kinds of reptiles and husbandry supplies too, so it was genuinely fun to look around. There's a really huge turtle there haha.

So many different crested gecko varieties 👀

What really caught my eye were the countless crested geckos. Each one was in its own enclosure with the morph and adoption price labeled, so it was easy to compare them one by one.

Even though they were all the same species, the colors, patterns, and looks were all a little different. At first I only wanted one small lizard, but the longer we looked, the more our standards went up — "oh this one's pretty too," "this one's not bad either." 😂

Crested gecko adoption prices: expected ₩50,000, ended up at ₩200,000 😂

This is the one thing I really want to tell anyone visiting with kids: the price range is way wider than you'd expect!

We initially expected around ₩50,000. There were indeed some more affordable individuals, but the price shoots up fast depending on the morph and features.

There were geckos in the hundreds of thousands of won, and even some over ₩1,000,000. The problem is that kids don't pick based on price. 🤣

The moment they lay eyes on whichever one looks prettiest to them and say "I want this one!" — that's when parents suddenly start checking the price tag. Lol.

If you're visiting with a kid, I'd recommend quietly checking the price tags first. You might go in expecting ₩50,000 and end up with your budget multiplied several times over. Just like us. 😂

We picked one after holding them in our hands ❤️

A staff member showed us the geckos in person and let my son hold them. He was completely absorbed watching the tiny gecko move around on his hand. 🦎 Seeing them with your eyes and actually holding them are apparently very different things.

We looked closely at several individuals up close, held them, and picked the one he liked best. Since it was his birthday gift, letting him choose the one he loved himself seemed like it would become a great memory too. 🎂❤️

The one he finally chose: crested gecko, axanthic morph 🦎

And the one my son ultimately picked was a crested gecko, axanthic morph!

Yep... ₩200,000. 😂 We went in expecting around ₩50,000, and it came out to exactly four times that. Lol.

But it's a birthday gift, and it was an animal my son personally looked at and fell for, so we thought, well, it's his birthday, let's go for it! 🎁 and brought him home. 😂

Watching him hold the little carrier box with both hands so carefully, I could tell just how much he loved it. We went over budget, but it feels like a proper birthday gift for him. ❤️

We also got a MORPH INFORMATION card

Along with the gecko we adopted, we received a MORPH INFORMATION card. It lets us check the morph, hatch date, sex, and more, so it should be handy for recording his growth going forward.

The axanthic that came into our home has a hatch date of May 28, 2026! I'll do my best to raise him well with my son. 😊

We also filled out adoption paperwork ✍️

During the adoption process, we also filled out the relevant paperwork. The document even listed the crested gecko's scientific name, Correlophus ciliatus, and the staff member explained everything we needed to know. It was easy to follow even as first-time adopters.

Husbandry supplies, food, and even goods 🌿

One side of the shop was stocked with all kinds of husbandry supplies needed for keeping reptiles — hides, artificial plants, enclosure decorations, and food and related products, all in quite a variety.

There were even live feeders like crickets and mealworms, which fascinated my son even more. 😂 For anyone new to keeping reptiles, being able to look at the animal and the supplies you'd need all in one place seemed really convenient.

There were even cute reptile-themed goods 🛍️

There were eco bags with lizard prints and other cute reptile-related goods. Between looking at geckos, holding them, checking out the supplies, and browsing the goods, we ended up staying at the shop much longer than expected. 😆

A new family member brought home as a birthday gift 🦎

For my son's birthday, we visited Crerism thinking we'd get a small lizard for around ₩50,000. The result... a ₩200,000 crested gecko, axanthic morph! 😂

The price ended up higher than expected, but the fact that my son got to see multiple animals up close, hold them, and choose the one he liked himself made it feel like an even more special birthday gift. 🎂❤️

The shop was clean, we got to compare all kinds of crested geckos, and we could browse husbandry supplies too — it was great.

But parents visiting with kids — the price range is really wide, so brace yourselves. 🤣 Especially if you take them on their birthday, it's even harder to say no to their choice. Lol.
