Biat Seongsu on a Seongsu Station date

While out on a date near Seongsu Station, I visited Biat Seongsu (비아트 성수), a large café in Seongsu-dong! There are so many pretty cafés and great dessert spots in Seongsu-dong that it is hard to choose where to go. I found Biat Seongsu while looking up Seongsu Station date ideas, and the desserts looked delicious while the interior looked spacious, so I decided to give it a try, haha. The fig Greek croffle I had here was so much better than expected that I still remember it.

Biat Seongsu is a large café in Seongsu-dong. It is on the second floor rather than at street level, so just take the stairs up.

Spacious seating with two distinct moods

The first thing I noticed when I went up the stairs and walked in was that the interior was much bigger than I expected! Seongsu-dong cafés are pretty, but some have limited space and tables packed close together. This one was roomy, with plenty of seating, which I loved. It would be a nice café for meeting a friend in Seongsu to chat or for having a relaxed conversation on a date.

Although Biat Seongsu is laid out as one space, the left and right sides felt slightly different. The left side had brighter lighting and an overall cozy feel. On the right, the lighting was a little dimmer, creating a warm, calm atmosphere.

Personally, I liked that each area had a slightly different mood, so you could choose a seat that suited you. Rather than feeling loud and hectic, it felt like a spacious café where you could sit comfortably and talk. It also seemed like a good place to have coffee and chat during a date near Seongsu Station, haha.

That day, we ordered an iced Americano, an iced latte, and the fig Greek croffle!

The coffee was good as well. The iced Americano was clean and easy to drink, while the iced latte was nutty and smooth, making it a great match for dessert.

And then, finally, the fig Greek croffle arrived! Wow... I was genuinely amazed by how it looked, haha. It was so pretty that I diligently took photos first, haha.

Greek-yogurt whipped cream and fig jam were sandwiched between two croffles—croissant waffles—with plenty of figs on top. First of all, the croffles themselves were perfectly crisp. I also liked that the Greek-yogurt whipped cream was not overly sweet. When desserts are too sweet, I sometimes get tired of them after a few bites, but this cream was gently sweetened, so it never felt heavy.

The sweetness of the fig jam, together with the fresh figs on top, made the combination work so well. Crisp croffle, soft cream, sweet fig jam, and that delicate, distinctive flavor of figs! I kept exclaiming while eating it... haha.

A café for relaxed conversation in Seongsu-dong

Overall, Biat Seongsu was a pleasant place to spend time comfortably in Seongsu-dong because the interior was spacious and the seating was generous. Since each area had a slightly different mood, I think both people who prefer a bright, cozy seat and those who like a calmer, warmer atmosphere could find a spot to suit their taste.

The coffee was good, and above all, I was really happy with the fig Greek croffle! I would recommend this café when you want to relax and talk during a date near Seongsu Station, especially if you also want to enjoy a pretty dessert.
