Today I want to share a small, heartfelt record of my visit to Mellows, a Seoul Forest–vibe café where I got to enjoy deep, rich milky soft serve and clean, well-made coffee at prices that honestly made me smile.

Mellows is at 7 Wangsimni-ro 10-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul (1F), about a 1-minute walk from Ttukseom Station Exit 7. It's open Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00–20:00, and closed every Sunday and Monday (subject to change).

Sitting right at the entrance of the alley off Exit 7, it's extremely easy to reach by public transport. It's perfectly placed for a sweet stop before or after a stroll through Seoul Forest, and plenty of people just swing by for takeout, so it's a low-pressure, easy visit.

Walking in, the space inside is compact but spotlessly clean, which immediately puts you at ease. The tidy bar seats and table setup also make it a perfectly comfortable spot to enjoy dessert solo.

Mellows builds its high-quality soft serve on Sangha Farm milk as a base, and offers a range of desserts and drinks at prices that feel unusually reasonable. Given how pricey the Seongsu and Seoul Forest area tends to be, it's a genuinely great deal. We ordered the café's signature assortment of soft serve flavors together with a clean, refreshing iced americano.

Mellows' soft serve stands out for the deep, savory milk flavor of Sangha Farm milk that fills your mouth. The moment it hits your tongue, what comes through isn't artificial sweetness but the genuine, nutty richness of pure milk, and the texture holds together as it melts, staying chewy rather than falling apart. Ice creams topped with peanut butter, matcha, strawberry, and more strike a lovely balance between each topping's distinct aroma and the soft milk base. Bitterness, sweetness, and nuttiness came together for a different pleasure with every spoonful.

2. The iced americano that resets your palate

The iced americano, a perfect match for the sweet, creamy ice cream, was also well made. Despite being a very affordable ₩2,000s item, it delivered a solid body and a nutty coffee flavor with a pleasant acidity. Taking a sip of the cold americano right after a bite of the rich ice cream cleared the palate and left a nice, refreshing feeling behind. Among Seoul Forest vibe cafés, this combination easily satisfies both value and quality.

Is Mellows worth a stop near Seoul Forest? Final verdict

Mellows was a satisfying Seoul Forest vibe café where I got to enjoy premium Sangha Farm ice cream and clean coffee in a warm space, at a genuinely reasonable price. A generous spread of desserts enjoyed inside that cozy arched red-brick space was more than enough to offer a small comfort and warmth in a busy day.
