Suyeong pizza restaurant with white ragu pasta: Extra Mile
In short
Extra Mile is a handmade-dough pizza and pasta restaurant in Suyeong, Busan. We had a Hot Honey Pepperoni and Potato half-and-half pizza with White Ragu Pasta in the 42,000 won Classic Combo for Two. Verdict: the chewy crust and rich ragu made Extra Mile a meal worth finishing completely.

Visiting Extra Mile in Gwangalli and parking
Extra Mile is a newly introduced spot following Freewheel Pizza, Pickles, and Upper East, all well-known restaurants in Busan’s Jeonpo-dong. I had such a delicious meal when I visited Pickles in Jeonpo, so I hurried over to try this one!

For Extra Mile parking, you can park in a nearby side street or at Bosung Private Parking Lot for ₩2,000 per 30 minutes. I recommend parking comfortably first, then visiting!

Extra Mile is a restaurant made by remodeling a detached house, and I loved its spacious garden and neat exterior!

Garden views and varied seating
As soon as you enter Extra Mile, you can see the coat rack right by the entrance and the spacious interior.

Maybe because it has not been open long, the inside was incredibly neat. The wood + white + plants interior was totally my taste ⋆.˚

For dining in, there are two seats with a great view of the outdoor garden,

four bar-table seats for solo diners, and three two-person tables,

plus a variety of seating up to standard four-person tables.

After choosing the seat you want, you can take your time looking through the menu placed at each table and then order. The front is an English menu and the reverse is a Korean menu, so it seemed like a great place for international visitors too!

Extra Mile’s menu and drawing paper
Extra Mile menu 📋 Classic Combo for Two (42.0): 1 pizza + 1 pasta Extra Combo for 3–4 (68.0): 1 pizza + 2 pastas + 1 side Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza (26.0) / Birria Taco Pizza (26.0) Potato Pizza (26.0) / Salad Pizza (26.0) * Half-and-half pizza available; cheese crust (4.0) White Ragu Pasta (18.0) / Peanut Butter Pasta (18.0) Tomato Pasta (18.0) / Bisque Cream Pasta (18.0) Romesco & Grilled Vegetables (12.0) House Salad (12.0) That was how the menu was set up!

While ordering from a staff member, I noticed crayons on every table and wondered what they were for. I asked, and they told me the paper beneath the cutlery was not just paper but drawing paper for coloring in.

There were various drawing designs, and coloring them was fun in its own way, so we could wait for the food without getting bored 〰

Ordering the Classic Combo for Two
So, what we ordered at Extra Mile was the Classic Combo for Two (42.0). Ordering the set for two saves ₩2,000, so I recommend the set menu if you are visiting with two or more people ⋆.˚

For the pizza included in the set, we chose a Hot Honey Pepperoni + Potato half-and-half pizza, and for pasta, we chose the White Ragu Pasta!

If you need hot sauce, just ask a staff member and they will bring it separately 〰

Hot Honey Pepperoni and Potato half-and-half pizza
For the Hot Honey Pepperoni + Potato half-and-half pizza (26.0), I was too curious about the other flavors to have only one, so we ordered it half-and-half.

The Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza is sweet and spicy, topped with spicy pepperoni, sweet hot honey sauce, soft mascarpone cheese, and pickled peppers. It was spicy enough even without hot sauce, though not overwhelmingly hot, and the gently sweet finish paired well with the White Ragu Pasta! Especially because the pizza dough is handmade in-house, it was seriously chewy and delicious. I do not usually like pizza crusts, but I could eat every last crust here • •

The Potato Pizza is an unusual potato pizza combining the mild flavor of Dubaek potatoes from Gangwon-do, rich truffle oil, and salty bacon. It had two kinds of potatoes as toppings: soft, thin yet substantial potato slices and thin, crisp potato-chip-like pieces, so there were all sorts of textures. The potato texture in the first bite, the intense aroma of truffle oil, and the salty bacon—it was a flavor I had never had before in my life.

Deep, rich White Ragu Pasta
The White Ragu Pasta (18.0) had a deep white ragu sauce slowly cooked with beef and pork, plus the full flavor of Reggiano cheese. The pasta itself was different from ordinary noodles, making it fun to chew, and it was loaded with chunks of meat—but the sauce was honestly insane • •

It was kind of like tomato ragu pasta with the tomato removed and cream added. I personally love both ragu pasta and cream pasta, so it was easily one of the most delicious pastas I have had recently 🥹🤍
The portion was definitely not small, so two adult women were extremely full, but it was delicious enough that we finished every bit. I really recommend ordering the set menu 〰 If I absolutely had to compare it with Pickles in Jeonpo, both are so, so delicious, but I think Extra Mile is better.
