Gangnam café terrace and pistachio cheesecake: Something About Coffee

A large café near Sinnonhyeon Station with great desserts

There really aren't many large cafés near Sinnonhyeon Station with great desserts. They're often small, or the desserts are all kind of the same—or just disappointing. Something About Coffee is a large café with desserts that never disappoint, no matter when I go.

This time too, my boyfriend and I went all in on dessert!! When am I starting that diet...? I need to take wedding photos, but I keep hunting down delicious things like this every day, so the weight just isn't coming off...? So I've decided to postpone the wedding shoot... haha... At this rate, am I going to postpone the wedding too? ^^

But there is just so much delicious food in the worldㅠㅠ The matcha cream cold brew and rosehip cherry tea we had at Something About Coffee were seriously delicious and went so well with the desserts too.

The pistachio cheesecake and egg cookie were insanely good tooㅠ I honestly haven't had desserts like these anywhere else!!!! They're handmade dessertsㅠㅠㅠㅠ Everyone, if you're looking for a café near Sinnonhyeon Station, you absolutely have to go to Something About Coffee.....

Plus, it's a large café, so there are tons of seats, and in weather like this, the outdoor terrace tables are absolutely perfect. Even if an indoor space is huge with high ceilings, it can still get noisy when it's crowded, you know?

But the outdoor tables are in such an open space that they actually feel quieter... Pure healing, seriously... And having a space like this near Sinnonhyeon Station is just so nice.

I walked over from Gangnam Station. This café sits between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, though it's closer to Sinnonhyeon!

The whole building is Something About Coffee. It's a large café spanning the first through third floors! That space you can see on the right is the terrace!

Different moods on every floor and terrace seating

The first through third floors each have a slightly different feel. In weather like this, I highly recommend the terrace. The weather is so lovely, there is a cool breeze, and even when it's busy, it feels quieter because you're outdoors?!

Handmade desserts and drinks sorted by caffeine

First of all, you have to get dessert!!! The cakes are especially good, and the cookies are delicious too. They're handmade desserts, so they really are that good.

There are lots of drink options too, including hojicha choux milk tea and matcha cream cold brew. What I especially liked was that the teas were categorized into caffeinated and non-caffeinated options. That is so thoughtful. I'm sensitive to caffeine, so I avoid teas with caffeine, but more than once I've drunk one without realizing it and ended up awake all night. Something About Coffee tells you right away by separating them, so it's really convenient and nice. You don't have to look up every single one. And there is no chance of accidentally getting hit with caffeine...

The pistachio is so nutty. The cream is really light too, so it goes perfectly with it. We had gone after a filling meal, but there is always a separate dessert stomach, right? This is why we can't properly lose weight... and keep putting off the photo shoot... haha. But what can I do... It's just too delicious.

I tried to cut the egg cookie to eat it, haha, but it would not cut, hahaha. Since it's a cookie, the outside is seriously crisp and hard. But the inside is totally like an egg tart. Like an egg tart with a hard outer shell?! But honestly, I thought this was way more delicious hahaha. Especially that crispy outer cookie—so goodㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I can't drink matcha, but I tried just a little of the cream... Oh wow, it was so delicious... My boyfriend happily drank it for me since I can't have caffeine. From the drinks to the desserts, plus the terrace tables, this was a perfect café near Sinnonhyeon Station. No wonder it's popular!!! I hope the owner does amazingly well!!!!
