Gwangalli pizza restaurant with seaweed bisque cream pasta: Extra Mile

I was craving pizza and pasta so badly, so I got a recommendation for a good spot in Gwangalli and went to check it out!

This Gwangalli spot, Extra Mile, is about a 5-minute walk from Gwangan Station. There's no dedicated lot, so you'll want to use the nearby paid Boseong Private Parking Lot~

Extra Mile sits right between Gwangan Station and Gwangalli Beach, so it's a great spot to explore the area before or after your meal!

What is the dining room at Extra Mile like?

Overall, Extra Mile has a casual yet detail-oriented American dining feel! It seemed like a great place for a relaxed lunch during the day, and equally suited for a date or a meal with friends in the evening~~

Here's the menu! Extra Mile also has combo sets, which was perfect for me since I wanted both pizza and pasta~

At Extra Mile, you grab your own water and pickles from the self-bar! They did bring the first plate of pickles over to us~

Every table at Extra Mile had a sheet of paper and crayons like this, which was a fun way to pass the time coloring haha. You could even have a little competition over who colored better!!

At Extra Mile they start cooking as soon as you order, so after a short wait the food arrived~

How was the gimtae bisque cream pasta?

The bisque cream pasta had rich shrimp flavor layered with the nuttiness of Reggiano cheese and cream, making for a smooth, easy-to-enjoy pasta! With shrimp and gimtae (dried laver) on top, there was a subtle ocean aroma and that distinct gimtae character, giving it a different appeal from a typical cream pasta~ The combination of shrimp, cheese, and gimtae worked better than I expected, so I'd recommend it if you're looking for a slightly different cream pasta at Extra Mile~~

The potato pizza was a menu with a clean yet nutty appeal! The soft two-baked potato and salty bacon worked well together, and with each bite the nutty flavor came through more, with a subtle truffle oil aroma adding a richer taste than a typical potato pizza~~ If you like a clean but flavorful pizza, I'd recommend this one~~

The salad pizza was piled high with European greens, making for a fresher take than a typical pizza! Crisp vegetables combined with nutty nuts and sweet-tart cranberries gave it varied texture, and the salty punch of olives here and there was a nice touch! With the clean dough paired with fresh veggies and tangy ingredients, it wasn't greasy at all, and it's a great menu choice for when you want to eat light.
