Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju has so many pretty cafés and genuinely great restaurants! This time, while looking for somewhere nice to eat and go on a date around Hwangridan-gil, I visited Midam Kitchen. It is a solid spot for a hearty meal after wandering around Hwangridan-gil, so I thought I would introduce it. Especially since the menu has pizza, pasta, and even pork cutlet, it seemed great for a group with different tastes too?!

The interior is really spacious and there are private rooms too; above all, the restaurant is so pretty!! Perfect for a date.

Three dishes chosen to suit every taste

Hwangridan-gil is such a popular area that choosing where to eat can be tricky, but I liked that Midam Kitchen has so many menu options.

Some people love pasta or pizza, while others prefer rice dishes or pork cutlet, right? We wanted to try a bit of everything too, so after debating, we ended up ordering several dishes 😭👍

We ordered three dishes: quattro cheese pizza, beef brisket oil pasta, and cheese roll cutlet! There were only two of us, but every dish looked so good that we got a little greedy, haha.

What did the beef brisket oil pasta taste like?

Next was the beef brisket oil pasta I had been looking forward to! The brisket added a savory richness to the light, clean character of oil pasta, and I really liked it. With the brisket, it felt a little more substantial than regular oil pasta, and it paired well with the pizza too. Personally, I tend to prefer clean-tasting pasta over pasta with a thick, rich cream sauce, so this one was right up my alley. It was seriously delicious ㅠㅠ

After a slice of pizza, a bite of pasta made me keep reaching for more because the flavors were so different. If you are looking for good pasta in Hwangridan-gil, this is a menu item worth trying!!

If you love cheese, this is a dish whose name alone will catch your attention. Maybe because it was topped with several kinds of cheese, every bite had a deep, nutty cheese flavor. The pizza dough and cheese worked beautifully together, and rather than being aggressively salty, it let you enjoy cheese's natural savory richness.

When walking around Hwangridan-gil, it is easy to just grab a café snack or something quick, but ordering a whole pizza and taking our time with it felt different. Pizza is also great for sharing with several people, so I thought it would be nice for a visit with friends or when looking for a Gyeongju date restaurant.

They give you honey too, and once you dip a bite in it, you cannot help but smile..ㅠㅠ Seriously, such a good pizza place.

And the unexpectedly delicious dish was the cheese roll cutlet. There is cheese inside the pork cutlet, so when you cut it open, you get that perfect stretchy-cheese moment~! There was cheese on the pizza and cheese in the cutlet, so it was a proper cheese party that day, haha. Still, each dish had a different texture and flavor, so I was glad we ordered all three. It would be especially useful for choosing a menu if someone in your group prefers pork cutlet to pasta or pizza.

It was crispy outside, while the cheese inside made it savory and soft. The sauce comes separately, so you can dip each bite and keep it crispy until the end. Honestly, it was better than at some pork cutlet specialty restaurants..!

That is why I would recommend Midam Kitchen to anyone looking for a Gyeongju date restaurant as well. With choices such as pizza, pasta, and pork cutlet, it would be nice to order several dishes and share them rather than have just one thing.

My overall take after trying all three dishes

Midam Kitchen is the sort of place that comes to mind when you are looking for a restaurant with a broad range of choices in Hwangridan-gil. The advantage is that everyone can choose according to their tastes: quattro cheese pizza for pizza lovers, beef brisket oil pasta for pasta lovers, or cheese roll cutlet for someone wanting a more filling dish.

There are so many great restaurants in Hwangridan-gil that deciding where to go can be hard, but if you are visiting with friends or looking for a place to eat on a Gyeongju date, Midam Kitchen is worth putting on your list. We tried all three dishes that day, and personally, I thought the beef brisket oil pasta and quattro cheese pizza were an especially great combination.
