Pizza restaurant near Konkuk Station with free nachos: Pizza E Michida

I'd been craving pizza again and went looking for a pizza place near Konkuk Station, which led me to Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch. With two pizza flavors plus a pastang (pasta-tang) on the table, the menu combo turned out to be pretty great, so let me introduce it.

Where is Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch, and is there parking?

Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch is within walking distance of Exit 1 of Konkuk Station, so it was easy to reach by public transit. Head into the Konkuk food alley and you'll find the store, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars, so it's a good spot to hop between before or after a meal.

That said, there's no dedicated parking lot for the store, so I'd recommend taking the subway rather than driving.

Reservations can be made through Naver Reservation, and booking ahead can cut down on waiting time, so it seems like a good idea to reserve if you're meeting friends on a set schedule!

Walking inside, the overall vibe felt casual and comfortable for a relaxed meal. It's a good place to visit with friends for pizza, and equally suited to a laid-back pizza-and-beer evening.

Besides regular table seating, there were also spots for larger groups, so it looked easy to use depending on party size. There's also terrace seating outside, which seemed like it would have great atmosphere on a nice day. The weather was perfect for eating outdoors, so we decided on an outdoor table!

Just because it's outdoors doesn't mean smoking is allowed. Absolutely no smoking!!!

How QR ordering works and what we ordered

Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch uses a QR code at the table to check the menu and order, which meant I could take my time picking dishes without waiting for staff. Pretty convenient!

We ordered spicy tomato pastang, and a half-and-half pizza of Philly cheese BBQ steak plus Toowoomba potato shrimp.

A place that serves nachos as a free starter...!! It kept us from getting bored while waiting, and they were so tasty haha.

With a half-and-half pizza, you get to pick two flavors on one pie, which is great when you're dining with people who have different tastes. Philly cheese BBQ steak centers on the savoriness of the meat topping, giving it a rich and filling flavor, while Toowoomba potato shrimp combines creamy sauce with shrimp and potato — the two definitely had very different personalities.

Of everything we ate that day, the half-and-half pizza combo was the most satisfying. Having two flavors on one pie made it feel less monotonous than sticking to just one flavor the whole time.

The Philly cheese BBQ steak side had meat toppings, so even one slice was pretty filling. It had that distinctive salty, rich BBQ flavor, giving it real pizza satisfaction — meat lovers would likely enjoy this one without any complaints.

The Toowoomba potato shrimp side on the other hand was a totally different story. The signature smooth, nutty Toowoomba flavor combined with potato and shrimp — if you like creamy pizza, this side would probably be more your style. Switching back and forth between the two, going from the rich Philly cheese flavor to Toowoomba potato shrimp was a nice way to reset the palate.

Does the spicy tomato pastang go with the pizza?

Surprisingly, the dish that stuck with me the most was the spicy tomato pastang. The tangy tomato base with a spicy kick paired well with the pizza.

Eating pizza continuously can start to feel heavy because of the cheese and toppings, but taking a bite of the pastang at that point felt like it reset my palate.

Personally, I think ordering a soup dish like this alongside the pizza works better than ordering pizza alone. Especially with a group, splitting the pizza and pastang between everyone seems like a good way to order.

The restroom was clean too, which I appreciated!

Is Pizza E Michida near Konkuk Station worth a visit?

Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch was easy to get to from Konkuk Station and had a good variety of pizzas, making it a solid spot for a meal with friends. If you're looking for pizza near Konkuk or a comfortable place to hang out with friends while enjoying some pizza and beer, it's worth a visit :)

Next time I visit, I'd like to try some of the other pizza flavors I didn't get to this time.
