Why we chose Pizza E Michida for outdoor drinks near Konkuk University Station

Pizza E Michida Konkuk Branch is a pizza bar on Achasan-ro 29-gil near Konkuk University Station, with a separate outdoor tent area set up beside the indoor space. There was a beer festival at Konkuk not long ago and every seat was taken, so after wandering around we ended up here — my boyfriend is obsessed with pizza, so Pizza E Michida it was!

It's totally outdoor-dining weather lately, isn't it? I didn't even realize, but Pizza E Michida Konkuk Branch has indoor seating plus a proper outdoor tent area ready to go. How could we not go,,,

The interior has a bit of a foreign pub vibe, so it's great for drinking beer,, there are also tables that face from indoors out toward the outdoor area!

What are the outdoor seats like? Screens and Kakao QR ordering

The outdoor seating at Pizza E Michida Konkuk Branch has more tables than you'd expect, and there's a cover overhead, so you can fully enjoy the outdoor tent vibe even if it rains. Dayoi headed straight for the separate outdoor seating area haha

Every table had parmesan cheese powder and Tabasco hot sauce ready, and ordering was done through Kakao QR, so even outdoors there was no need to wait for or flag down staff — loved that!

What Dayoi ordered was

We also received cod roe cream arancini as a review perk ❤️ One great thing about Pizza E Michida Konkuk Branch, true to its reputation as a Konkuk pizza spot, is that there are so many pizza options to choose from!! Every single item on the menu looked delicious, so we picked carefully :)

The basic side snack(?) was nachos!!! I really love nachos, so I was so happy to see them. Pickles, garlic dipping sauce, and a rosé-colored sauce whose exact identity I'm... not totally sure of? Both sauces went well with the pizza and nachos though

For drinks, you just grab your own ice cup from near the kitchen haha

How does the cod roe cream arancini taste?

First up, the cod roe cream arancini they gave us! So, so crispy, the cod roe cream sauce was delicious, and inside there was a bit of cheese and rice, with a slightly spicy kick. Total beer food,, 🥹 Everyone should really try the arancini...

Then the rest of the food arrived!!

Spicy tomato pastang: how much seafood is in it?

The spicy tomato pastang (₩16,900) comes with shrimp, squid, and mussels. First, the spicy tomato pastang ~ my boyfriend loved it way more than expected! The sauce itself was really tasty and there was more seafood than I thought

The seafood included shrimp, squid, and mussels, and the mussels were genuinely big, and all the other seafood was delicious too. Recommended if you don't like overly rich flavors! We really scraped up every last bit of the broth,,

Signature half-and-half pizza with green onion bacon cream cheese dip

The signature half-and-half pizza is ₩22,900, and we split it between Philly cheese BBQ steak and Toowoomba potato shrimp. And then, Pizza E Michida's signature half-and-half pizza!! Look at how nicely the toppings are piled on,,

And there's a thoughtful touch that lets you eat it warm from start to finish!! The cheese never went cold the whole time we were eating — total plus!

Also the pizza cheese stretched really well, and it felt different from the cheese on pizzas we usually get delivered — softer and nuttier!!

And when ordering pizza, you can also pick one dipping cream cheese sauce, so we chose green onion bacon — the cream cheese was thick and rich, and eating it with the pizza was a low-key delicacy. I'm thinking now it'd probably be great with nachos too haha

Dayoi ate it like this, with the crust part, and it went really well together!! The garlic dipping sauce also seemed to be handmade, with a flavor that stood out a bit from other places, and the sweet garlic aroma was so nice

Icy draft beer and the final verdict on Pizza E Michida

As part of an opening event, you could also get cheap slush-style draft beer, ㅜㅜ I was so bummed I couldn't drink beer that day because of medication. I'm planning to come back to Pizza E Michida Konkuk Branch's outdoor seating soon to actually try the beer 😝

This was a great Konkuk-area pizza spot for both dates and gatherings with friends. True to its name, the pizza was seriously delicious, and with so many pizza varieties, you can try a different combination every time you go — such an appealing point!! The indoor space has good vibes too, but the outdoor tent seating is also kept nice and clean, so it's a must-visit in spring and fall..! (It's a smoke-free zone, so no cigarette smell either!!!) I honestly didn't expect much from the pasta, but even that was delicious, so I'd definitely go back!!
