Grilled Jeju pork BBQ in Geomdan, Incheon: Ddotgalbi at Dwitgolmok
In short
Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi (뒷골목 돗갈비) is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Geomdan, Incheon, specializing in aged Jeju pork, where staff grill the meat for you from start to finish. This visit covered two servings of special neck meat, one serving of ddotgalbi (bone-in pork belly ribs), a seafood-packed doenjang jjigae with rice, and the best combination was grilled white kimchi with garlic salted shrimp. Busy enough to fill up with a waiting line even on a Wednesday evening, it's a solid pick for family meals or group outings.

I've been here multiple times and it's always satisfying — Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi, a go-to restaurant in Danghadong. After a busy day, my partner and I headed straight here for meat the moment he got off work =333 Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi specializes in aged Jeju pork, and the staff grill everything for you, which makes the meal so much easier.

The exterior, interior, and where to park

Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi is genuinely one of the top spots I'd recommend among restaurants in Danghadong! You can park behind the building, but the space is fairly small, so there may not be a spot open. When we visited there wasn't one, so we used the Danghadong public parking lot instead :D It's only ₩1,200 an hour, no pressure, and it's a big lot — honestly might just be easier to head straight there from the start.
Oh man... it was a Wednesday and the place was completely packed !!! By the time we left, there was even a waiting line ㅇ_ㅇ Definitely a proven local favorite haha.

Right as you walk in, there's a meat aging fridge. Just looking at it, the Jeju pork looks incredibly fresh!

There's a baby chair ready too — oh, and right now there's a coupon for a free serving for pregnant visitors, so if you're looking for a family dinner spot, that might be worth knowing!
The Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi menu and what we ordered

The main menu is simple — just two options, ddotgalbi and neck meat. Focusing on only two cuts makes it feel that much more specialized haha. There are also meal options like kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, naengmyeon (cold noodles), meat noodle soup, and nurungji (scorched rice soup).
What we ordered: ddotgalbi (1 serving), special neck meat (2 servings), doenjang jjigae, steamed rice.
The basic side dishes and four sauces

There's no separate lettuce wrap plate — instead you get green onion salad, grillable white kimchi, pickled garlic scapes, and pickled wild garlic leaves. That white kimchi gets grilled together with the meat, and of course it's delicious... my personal favorite is the pickled garlic scapes! Haha.

The four sauces are ssamjang, wasabi, salt, and garlic salted shrimp. Ugh... the garlic salted shrimp here is seriously addictive. Put it on the meat and it's nutty and salty..♥♥
Special neck meat and ddotgalbi, grilled entirely by the staff
For my neck-meat-loving partner, we got two servings of neck meat and one of ddotgalbi.

The neck meat at Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi is so juicy even I, someone who doesn't usually like neck meat, ate it happily. And that thick cut — pure art!

The best part of this Danghadong favorite! The staff grill everything for you. From start to finish, they handle it all, so it's genuinely so easy haha.

They grill the neck meat perfectly, and the white kimchi too, setting it aside on the grill like this '3'

It's good dipped in melt jeot (fermented anchovy sauce), and good with their secret green onion salad too, but the garlic salted shrimp + white kimchi combo here really is the best.. I took one bite and made a big fuss over how good it was, again, haha.

After the neck meat, it's ddotgalbi's turn. Ddotgalbi = bone-in pork belly, and meat on the bone is always tastier.. Regular samgyeopsal is already delicious, but bone-in is even better honestly.. They don't just grill the first round — they grill the ddotgalbi too bbb
Once it's grilled and set aside for us, we dig in enthusiastically again haha.

The pickled garlic scapes are already delicious, but grilling them once more makes them even better. Cleared the samgyeopsal plate too, no crumbs left >3<
Doenjang jjigae packed with seafood

I usually just order noodles or naengmyeon here, but this time I ordered doenjang jjigae to go with rice.

Honestly.. when I ordered it I thought the doenjang jjigae was kind of pricey, but once I saw the seafood inside, I totally got it haha. There are two whole abalones in there..?! Plus shrimp and a bunch of other seafood, so it was refreshing, spicy, and really delicious.

Ate it hearty with a bowl of rice too :P Another satisfying meal, well eaten again.
Final thoughts
Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi is a Danghadong favorite specializing in aged Jeju pork. The basic side dishes pair perfectly with the meat, and even the meal menu items are all delicious — especially the grilling service, which I'd recommend not just for family visits but for dates and group gatherings too :D If you live nearby and haven't been yet, go grab some meat right now ♬
