Full brown color for red-tinged skin at Geomdan hair salon: Lee Kyung

Feels like the sweltering summer is finally over, which means it's time to enjoy my favorite season — fall! It feels like it always goes by too fast, so I have to make the most of it, starting with my hair~ Here's my review of getting a full color done at Lee Kyung Min Foret Geomdan New Town Branch after a long time.

My tone got patchy from only doing root touch-ups

Since I dye my hair, I have to do root touch-ups regularly, but if you only ever do root touch-ups, the overall tone ends up uneven, so a full color is needed too at some point. And honestly, coloring should be done at a place that's actually good at it haha. I love fall in general and my personal color is warm autumn, so out of all four seasons, fall is one I just can't skip!!

So I visited Lee Kyung Min Foret Geomdan New Town Branch, a hair salon in Pungmu-dong. The staff greeted me warmly the moment I walked in, so I was already in a good mood — the service here is genuinely great.

First off, the salon is really clean, and the shampoo chairs are so comfortable. Since I booked ahead, I could start right away without waiting. Even on a weekday, the place was packed! Before coloring, my hair needed a haircut just as urgently as it needed color — it was a total mess. Started my session with tasty snacks and coffee!!

Full color plus cut after a 1:1 consultation

After a 1:1 consultation with stylist manager Sein, we decided to do a full color and a haircut. She works fast but is incredibly thorough! I didn't have a specific color in mind — I just went in thinking 'let's do a full color' — and the color she recommended matched my skin tone perfectly, so I loved it.

Sensitive scalp, but no issues even after the dye was applied

It had been a while since my last full color, and I'd toned it down before too, so the overall tone wasn't even at all, but she paid careful attention to even it all out. My scalp is on the sensitive side, so every time I dye my hair it usually itches, and if it's bad, it stings and even my eyes water — but the dye used at this Pungmu-dong hair salon, Lee Kyung Min Foret, must be a good product, because I had zero scalp discomfort after it was applied.

Before/after: brown with no red tint

I have pretty severe redness in my face, so I wanted a brown with no red tint — and she completely erased the red that was already there, which I loved. After the shampoo, she also cut it to suit my face shape, and I'm really happy with both the color and the cut.

She also explained in detail how to take care of my hair at home and how to blow-dry it nicely, so lately I've been having the best hair days of my life, every single day. My cheekbones are on the wider side, and when I tie my hair up or use a claw clip, the side pieces naturally fall and cover them — exactly the natural look I wanted, which is just so Lee Kyung Min Foret, a place I always trust.
