Unlimited eel self-bar restaurant in Yuseong, Daejeon: Songrimbok

I went to Songrimbok Jangeo (송림복장어) Unlimited Freshwater Eel Daejeon Direct Store, a great restaurant in Yuseong, Daejeon. I meant to post about it right away, but then my water suddenly broke and I went off to give birth ㅠㅠ So this post ended up delayed, completely unintentionally ㅠㅠ

Free parking and the unlimited-refill sign at the entrance

Songrimbok Jangeo has free parking in the building! Even if you come by car, you can eat comfortably! They asked whether I had parked when I paid after the meal. Songrimbok Jangeo had the thoughtful sense to make sure I had my parking ticket first.

They say they receive live eels from eel farms and direct markets every morning, then prepare them themselves. That means both good quality and good prices at Songrimbok Jangeo Daejeon Direct Store! There was also a huge photo hanging up—of a famous YouTuber, maybe, or a model?!! It really is a great restaurant in Yuseong-gu and Jijok-dong, Daejeon :-)

Time limit and takeaway eel

Since it is unlimited refill, the time limit is two hours! Two hours is more than enough time to enjoy it all, yum yum. They also sell prepared eel to take away, and I thought it would be great to pick some up for home or a camping trip!!

If I had known about it before getting pregnant, I would have bought lots for camping ^ㅠ^

Bokbunja ju (Korean black raspberry wine) that the owner gave us as a gift!!!!!! Where else gives you bokbunja ju on the house? I seriously wanted to drink it..... But as a pregnant woman, all I could do was make a toast. You drink it all, husband..

The first spread: eel and pork

They bring out the main eel like this at first! Nicely prepared eel, with pork alongside it! One reason Songrimbok Jangeo is so good is that, although it is an eel restaurant, it has meat too! (There seems to be one kind at weekday lunch, and more variety on weekends.)

A spacious dining hall for group dinners

Inside, the hall was divided into a large space and tables that would be great for company dinners! Songrimbok Jangeo is a good choice for a group dinner in Jijok-dong, Daejeon.

More from the self-bar, no awkwardness

We put the prepared eel they brought us on the grill, and then it was straight to the self-bar.

You can pick up the prepared side dishes and any extra sides you need here, and there are prepared meats and eel too! It is not a system where you ring a bell to ask for more. Even at an unlimited-refill place, ringing the bell can make you feel awkward, so I liked this even more because I could eat without worrying about that.

We brought back another platter and grilled that too ♡♡♡

The dream bokbunja ju that a pregnant woman cannot drink ㅠㅠ We made a toast! Then I just smelled it. Today, I came for a nourishing meal before giving birth, so it was time to focus on the eel! The eel was beautifully browned and such a gorgeous color; for an unlimited-refill place, Songrimbok Jangeo's eel quality is so good ㅠㅠ Seriously, why did I only find out about it now?

Thank you for the meal!!!!! Bite after bite, I kept eating, and maybe it was Ddakpul's first time having eel too—the baby was kicking like crazy.

Grill and eat, grill and eat, ctrl + c, ctrl + v. We are already two people with good appetites, and these days the three of us, including Ddakpul, eat even better.
