This time I visited Worang Myeongga Yuseong Main Branch, near Yuseong Oncheon Station and NC Department Store, where you can see and choose your own 1++ hanwoo before eating it. Whenever I'm hunting for hanwoo restaurants in Daejeon, I tend to check the meat grade and condition of the raw beef pretty carefully, and what really caught my eye here was that you can check the meat yourself at the butcher showcase and pick whichever cut you like. It's also about a one-minute walk from Exit 8 of Yuseong Oncheon Station, so access was great, plus they offer 2 hours of free parking!

On one side of Worang Myeongga Yuseong Main Branch there's a dedicated butcher showcase with the hanwoo on display! Various cuts of hanwoo were packaged on separate plates, so I liked being able to check the marbling and condition myself and pick what I wanted.
The store also had a plaque for selling top-grade 1++ hanwoo on display, and I could watch a staff member trimming the meat right next to it. Eaten with onion, it turned sweet and brought out the meat's savoriness even more.
Paired with pickled vegetables, it was salty with a clean aftertaste that kept me reaching for more!! Grilling thick-cut hanwoo like this straight over charcoal really does have a charm unique to butcher-shop restaurants!

At the very end, I could also get coffee and ice cream! Like in the photo, you scoop your own soft-serve, which made me feel like a Lotteria manager for a second haha lol. Getting a sweet dessert like this made for a satisfying finish.
