What kind of place is Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip?

Today I'm writing up Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip, a BBQ spot in Yuseong-gu that I actually visit all the time, so I can recommend it with full confidence.

I've probably been here more than ten times now, and honestly, when the weather makes you crave glamping — this is exactly the outdoor tent BBQ spot for it! Perfect for after work when you want that glamping feeling. It works for a date, for friends, for family — great for whenever people come visit too.

What the tent area looks like at night

When you visit at night, all these lights turn on and it's just gorgeous — the mood is amazing. Perfect for a date with your partner after work.

Unlimited side dishes and doenjang jjigae

At Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip, all these banchan (side dishes) are unlimited refills. The owner sets everything up for you at first, and after that you just grab more yourself! Pickled onion, green onion, lettuce wraps, pickled radish, onion, wasabi, salt — they've got it all.

And the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) is unlimited too, and it's seriously so good. Once you finish the meat, make yourself some drinking rice with that stew — seriously it's amazing. Best side dish for drinks, no question.

Can you bring kids to Hanmaeum Tapnip?

In summer they run an outdoor pool, so if you come during the day the kids can splash around too. There's a slide, and the pool is bigger than you'd expect, so it seems comfortable even if you bring a lot of kids.

Besides meat, they've also got ramyeon and snacks ready for the kids. The best snack for drinks — spicy shrimp chips — and a ramyeon that tastes just like the famous Hangang ramyeon!! It was genuinely delicious. I had it last time and it really did taste just like that river-park ramyeon.

What's on the menu?

For meat: beef, pork, and tiger prawns — every kind, they've got it all.

They also sell sausage, minari (water celery), mushrooms, and marshmallows haha. It's fun to grill marshmallows with the kids, or with your girlfriend or boyfriend, or with friends once you've finished the meat, haha. They've got every kind of drink too, which is great.

The banchan I mentioned earlier — you just scoop it yourself from here. Everything except jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) is there! Shredded onion, kimchi, bean sprouts, chili, garlic, lettuce wraps, even doenjang soup — all of it.

There's also a kids' playroom set up so it's easy to bring children! Arcade games, a slide, and chairs for parents to sit in too!

How much is the tent rental fee?

Just pay the tent rental fee and you get to enjoy this whole vibe. I visited on a weekday and booked for ₩15,000! Weekends and holidays are around ₩20,000, if I remember right. Looking at it again, the atmosphere is really, really good. Total glamping mood, in a budget-friendly way!

Unlimited draft beer for 4,000 won

On top of that, draft beer is ₩4,000 for unlimited refills. This is seriously made for beer drinkers — so cold and so good. They pour the first glass for you, and after that it's self-serve!

So I couldn't hold back and just kept ordering, one after another. So cold and refreshing, and it tasted even better after work. Seriously, two thumbs up for this Yuseong-gu BBQ spot.

Do the staff grill the meat for you?

They grill the meat for you, and it's set on the pan so you can reheat it if it cools down, plus you can throw pineapple, kimchi, and bean sprouts on the grill too.

The meat was grilled well and full of juicy flavor — I ate really well. So good!..!!!

Fireworks to finish the night

At the end, they even give you fireworks, so after finishing the meat you get a perfectly relaxing send-off with fireworks!!
